Year after year, one of the highlights of our East End Boys Club Society Summer Programs is welcoming Perdip Moore of PD Moore Homes Inc. to share his experience and wisdom with our youth.

As a respected licensed builder and founder of PD Moore Homes, Perdip gives our young people an inside look into the world of construction, entrepreneurship, and leadership. 🏡✨

He speaks openly about:
🔹 What it’s really like to build a custom home from the ground up
🔹 The opportunities created through laneway homes and innovative housing solutions
🔹 The challenges and rewards of starting and running your own business
🔹 The importance of craftsmanship, integrity, and attention to detail
🔹 How perseverance, hard work, and taking calculated risks can turn dreams into reality

Most importantly, he encourages our youth to believe that their future isn’t limited by where they come from—it is shaped by the choices they make and the effort they put in every day. 💪🏽🌟

🚀💼 What an incredible evening facilitating the Entrepreneurs Camp at East End Boys Club! 👏🏽🔥
Tonight, our youth didn’t just learn about entrepreneurship—they experienced it firsthand. 👊🏽
Working in small teams, they brainstormed ideas 💡, identified real-world problems to solve, developed startup concepts, calculated costs 💰, created marketing plans 📱, designed their businesses, and prepared their pitches.
Then came the moment of truth… 🎤🦈
Each group stepped up with confidence and presented their business ideas to our judges, Dragon’s Den style! From creative startups to community-focused services, the innovation, teamwork, and courage on display were absolutely amazing. 🌟
This exercise wasn’t about having the perfect idea. It was about learning to collaborate, think critically, communicate effectively, and build the confidence to stand in front of others and say, “This is what we believe in.” 💯
As a facilitator, it was inspiring to watch these young people challenge themselves, support one another, and rise to the occasion. Moments like these remind me that the future is in very good hands. ❤️
A huge congratulations to all of our young entrepreneurs. You embraced the challenge, found your voice, and proved that age is never a barrier to dreaming big. 🌱🚀

💙 Remembering Mel Zajac 💙

Today, the East End Boys Club family mourns the passing of an extraordinary philanthropist, community leader, and friend, Mel Zajac.

For years, a special relationship existed between Mel, Zajac Ranch, Camp Choice BC, and the East End Boys Club. Through that partnership, many of our youth were given opportunities they may never have otherwise experienced. Each summer, youth from the East End Boys Club travelled to Zajac Ranch to participate in Camp Choice BC, where they learned leadership, teamwork, resilience, and the belief that their future could be brighter than their past.

Mr. C and Mel shared something powerful in common — a passion for helping young people reach their full potential. Both believed that every youth deserves someone who believes in them, supports them, and provides opportunities to succeed.

Because of Mel’s generosity and vision, countless East End Boys Club youth experienced adventures, challenges, friendships, and life lessons that helped shape who they are today. His impact can be seen in the confidence of the young people who returned home from camp stronger, more hopeful, and ready to take on the future.

While Mel may no longer be with us, his legacy lives on in every young person whose life was changed because he cared enough to make a difference.

On behalf of Mr. C, our mentors, volunteers, alumni, and the youth of the East End Boys Club, thank you, Mel. Your kindness, generosity, and belief in young people will never be forgotten.

🔥 What an incredible day at the East End Boys Club Entrepreneurs Camp! 💼🚀

Today we were honoured to welcome Sir Darren Jacklin 🙌 — and the impact he had on our youth was powerful.

Darren shared his personal journey of overcoming adversity, learning challenges, and difficult circumstances as a youth, reminding everyone in the room that your beginning does not define your future. 💯

From struggling early in life to becoming a globally recognized entrepreneur, philanthropist, and mentor who has trained Fortune 500 companies and inspired people around the world 🌎📈 — his message hit home with our youth.

One of the biggest takeaways from today:🔥 Develop skills that solve problems.🔥 Invest in yourself.🔥 Never let labels limit your potential.

The room was filled with energy, questions, laughter, reflection, and inspiration. You could feel young leaders beginning to think differently about what’s possible for their future. 👊🏽

Tomorrow we continue the East End Boys Club Entrepreneurs Camp 💼🔥 and I’m incredibly honoured to help facilitate these sessions alongside some amazing leaders and mentors.

When putting this camp together, I wanted our youth to hear from people who didn’t just build businesses — but overcame adversity, believed in themselves, and learned how to lead with purpose. 💯

Tomorrow we welcome Sir Darren Jacklin 🙌
Darren’s story is powerful. As a youth, he struggled with learning challenges, was placed in special education, battled through adversity, and experienced life on the streets. Today, he has gone on to train leaders around the world, work with Fortune 500 companies, ring the NASDAQ bell 3 times, and inspire millions through entrepreneurship and philanthropy. 🌎📈

Youth had the opportunity to take part in an amazing hands-on Filmmaking Workshop with award-winning filmmaker and actor James Hutson 🎞️

From camera work and lighting 🎥
to directing, storytelling, editing, and teamwork 🎬✂️🤝
the youth were fully engaged, creative, and inspired throughout the day.

One of the best parts was seeing young people step outside their comfort zones, collaborate together, and explore creative talents they may never have discovered otherwise. ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this happen and investing time into creating positive opportunities for youth in our community. 👏🔥
