Do you like workshops? Community building? Embodied leadership? Anti-racism in action?

Join us on Saturday, March 7th for a FREE double-workshop ( + free lunch too 😉) facilitated by the amazing Soni Dasmohapatra. Spots are limited, so make sure to register and secure yours soon!

Future Arts Network is seeking web designers & developers to redesign futureartsnet.ca and integrate content from our legacy site.

We strongly encourage proposals from:
🖥️ Students & emerging designers
✊ BIPOC designers
♿ Designers with lived experience of disability

The project includes:
• Website redesign
• Integrating past programming (images + video)
• Assessing WordPress vs Squarespace
• Strong security & malware protection
• Optional membership features

Meet our third + final FAiR artist in residence for the 2025/2026 season: Divya Kaur! (.kaur)

✫✫✫

Divya Kaur is a q***r disabled Punjabi interdisciplinary artist, writer, community builder, and anti-oppression professional living on stolen Coast Salish territories, including those of the Halkomelem-speaking peoples. Their work spans mediums and focuses largely on lens-based arts to explore themes of identity, trauma, q***rness, disability, pain, and healing, seeking to honor the intersections and tender complexities within these experiences. Divya’s work has been featured in 5X Press, Room Magazine, SAD Mag, Cold Tea Collective, Vines Art Society, Kickstart Disability, Enabling Arts, and Vancouver Pride Magazine. They organize with Under The Table Poetry and is the co-creator of HIR, a community-driven South Asian LGBTQIA+ zine.

Future Arts Network is seeking participants from across Canada to take part in our upcoming Community Networking Project — a new initiative that will connect artists, individuals, collectives, and informal + formal groups dedicated to supporting racialized women in the arts.

WHO: arts workers, cultural organizers, and community leaders (individuals + organizations!)

WHERE: open virtually across “Canada”, with optional in-person components for folks in so-called Vancouver, BC

WHEN: Jan-March 2026 🗓️

HOW TO APPLY: send us an email! check our website for all the info

COMPENSATION: $50/meeting, with an estimated 3 meetings in total

Ever wondered what the studios at the Future Arts in Residence space look like??? Ever wondered what our amazing + talented artists are working on?? Now’s your chance to find out!

Find us at the Sun Wah Centre (268 Keefer St.) on the Lower Ground level (take the elevator DOWN ⬇️ after entering).
