On August 16, our community came together for the Walkathon to celebrate our 50th anniversary and the people who have shaped our journey along the way.

From participants and volunteers to donors, sponsors, and staff, more than 790 people from across our community joined together to mark this important milestone. As we reflect on the day, we're reminded that meaningful change happens when people come together with a common purpose.

We were honoured to be joined by MP Wade Chang, MLA Anne Kang, MLA Paul Choi, MLA and Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of BC Raj Chouhan, Mayor Mike Hurley, City of Burnaby Councillors, and other community leaders who helped make the day so memorable. A special thanks to our wonderful emcee, Global BC’s Jason Pires, and to our generous sponsors, City of Burnaby, Langara College, TransLink, and Global BC, for their invaluable support.

Thank you for walking with us, celebrating with us, and helping us build momentum for the future.

If you'd like to support MOSAIC's work and help us continue creating opportunities for newcomers and diverse communities, please consider making a donation. Together We Thrive, and with your support, we can continue creating opportunities and building a more inclusive and thriving Canada for all.

Days like today remind us what a nonprofit really is. It's people showing up for each other. On Sunday, hundreds of you did exactly that, walking with us at Walkathon to mark 50 years of MOSAIC.

So many of you started your journey in Canada with us, and now you're the ones welcoming the next person in.

It was a day worth sharing, and CBC came out to help us tell that story. Watch their coverage here: https://ow.ly/ymC150ZAF9Q
