As we near the end of the year in our sponsorship project, we want to express a big and sincere thank you to the Rainbow Foundation of Hope for providing us with a generous grant of $4,050, approximately 10% of the total funds raised to help the sponsor with their first year in Canada.

Please visit their website and support them if you can! They do amazing work.

🚨🚨UPDATE🚨🚨
We have recently learned that our sponsor is in the final stages of the approval process and we are expecting his arrival in Vancouver by the end of summer!

We are thrilled by this news and are now moving into a new phase of our work to make sure he is appropriately welcomed once he arrives. To that end, our focus is shifting towards finding him housing in Vancouver's very expensive market. Our budget is about $1,000-$1,600/month and a roommate situation is likely going to be necessary. We would love a location that is somewhat central or in Burnaby and close to a park/nature. Ultimately, we are open to anywhere that is well connected by transit (whether it be SkyTrain or buses).

If any of our followers have leads on a rental unit that may become available for August or September, please reach out!

We wish to thank you all for making this possible and we can't wait to keep you all updated on his arrival.
