In E.C. Manning Park, under a partnership agreement with BC Parks, the BC Mountaineering Club replaced a cross-country ski footbridge on the popular Fat Dog Trail. The trail is a winter destination for snowshoeing and backcountry skiing. The project was supported by BC Parks, Chilliwack Outdoor Club, Friends of Manning Park, B.C. Mountain Foundation, and B.C. Mountaineering Club.

East of Squamish, at Watersprite Lake Recreation Area, the BC Mountaineering Club administered a contract with Park Solutions to build a new trail from the campground at Watersprite Lake to the mountainous ridge system above the lake. The new trail is 1,200 meters in length with an elevation gain of 200 meters. The project was funded by the B.C. Mountaineering Club, BC Parks Foundation, B.C. Mountain Foundation, and Valhalla Pure Outfitters in Squamish. The project was approved very quickly by Recreation Sites and Trails BC. It benefits the province by diverting hikers and climbers away from ungulate winter range south of the lake that is established to protect mountain goats, a species of provincial concern.
