Join us for next month’s Chai & Chill ✨Loving Across Cultures: Navigating Q***r Relationships When Your Partner Doesn’t Fully Understand Your World✨ on Thursday June 4, 2026 at 9pm EST | 8pm CST | 6pm PST.

Dating outside of your culture can bring deep connection, growth, and love, but also unique challenges, especially when navigating q***rness within South Asian families and communities. This workshop explores the emotional complexities of intercultural q***r relationships, including feeling misunderstood, carrying invisible cultural burdens, navigating family expectations, and communicating needs without constantly educating or shrinking yourself. Participants will leave with greater clarity, self-compassion, and tools for building more culturally aware and emotionally safe relationships.

Dina Yacoub is a counselling therapy student, workshop facilitator, and community advocate passionate about relational healing, emotional wellness, and culturally informed mental health conversations. As a Middle Eastern woman living in Canada, she brings a nuanced understanding of diaspora identity, family dynamics, and the intersection of culture and q***rness into her work. Her work focuses on helping individuals explore relationship patterns, boundaries, self-worth, and healing through an accessible and compassionate lens. Dina has facilitated workshops for women through various community organizations and is especially passionate about creating affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities.

This virtual event is free & hosted on Zoom.

This is our fifth annual picnic in Toronto! We welcome all South Asian, Indo-Caribbean, Indo-African, and Fijian q***r folks. We hope to see you there 💞

Notes:
• This is a community event run by volunteers. We don’t have funding for it. We host at Hanlan’s as it is relatively secluded (to avoid being seen by aunties/uncles). But we understand the $10 ferry ticket can be financially difficult for some folks. If so, please email us, and we will try our best to accommodate you (by putting out a call for donations).
• IF you are able to donate $10 for someone to attend, please let us know
