The Board of Directors and members of Kababayang Pilipino of B.C. extends its heartfelt condolences to the family of Tomas "Tatay Tom" Avendano Sr., a revered leader in the Filipino-Canadian community. His tireless efforts on behalf of the Multicultural Helping House Society have been a transformative force in the lives of numerous newcomers, empowering them with hope, guidance, and a sense of belonging. The community mourns the passing of Tatay Tom, a compassionate, devoted, and inspiring leader. Although his absence leaves a void, his service and legacy of kindness will continue to inspire and live on in the hearts of all those he touched. Maraming salamat, Tatay Tom, for your extraordinary dedication and service to the Filipino community!
