What were you up to 20 years ago? 👀 

As BEST gets ready to celebrate 35 years next week, we’ve been looking back at some of the major milestones along the way. Founding Bike Valet in 2006 was a big one! 

Bike Valet started with a simple idea: make it easier for people to choose active transportation by offering free, secure bike parking at events.

Swipe through to see what our team were up to when the Bike Valet was founded. 20 years later and a lot has changed, but Bike Valet is still here and going strong.

Just two more weekends of free Bike Valet at the Gallery 🚲 

Art that imagines a different future calls for a different way to get there.

Until September 27, visitors can ride to the Vancouver Art Gallery and enjoy free, secure Bike Valet service from 10AM-5PM on weekends. 

Timed with Future Geographies: Art in the Century of Climate Change, this Bike Valet location is one way we’re bringing conversations about sustainability beyond the Gallery walls. Explore more than 35 contemporary works that address the urgency of the climate crisis, and discover how small choices can be part of a more sustainable future.  

Come make the most of the final weekends of Bike Valet at the Gallery!

Bike Valet will be at Car Free Day Commercial Drive tomorrow, Sept 5, and Car Free Day Main Street on Sept 13. If there was ever a day to leave the car at home, this is it!

What if a Bike Parkade was more than a secure place to leave your bike?

What if it was a hub to get cycling information, connect with local resources and bike support,
grab a map, or simply feel more confident combining cycling and transit as part of your everyday
trips?

We’re getting a chance to explore some of these possibilities as part of a new TransLink Bike
Station trial project. Our Bike Valet team is staffing the Bike Parkade at Main–Street Science
World SkyTrain Station until Sept 4, providing secure bike parking and additional services.

While you are there, you can:
â—Ź Pick up Metro Vancouver cycling maps
â—Ź Get Information about Compass card registration for Bike Parkades
â—Ź Learn how to register your bike through Project 529

🕖 Weekdays 7 am–7 pm | Weekends 9 am–4 pm
📍 Main Street–Science World SkyTrain Station

Whether you’re a regular Bike Parkade user or have always been curious to try one, there’s still
time to check it out.

Created by the Asian Arts and Culture Society BC Dumpling Fest is a multicultural family-friendly event that will showcase dumplings from different cultures (plus expect tons of live entertainment, vendors, kids zone and more!).
