Joshua: Teenager vs. Superpower
紀錄片私人放映及討論會

已於2017年上映的紀錄片於 2026 年 9 月中旬被香港《文匯報》點名批評串流平台 Netflix 至今仍未下架講述黃之鋒的紀錄片（Joshua: Teenager vs. Superpower）。《文匯報》主要指責紀錄片美化與英雄化罪行，另外亦批評預告片「充斥煽動性」、「毫無收費門檻」，不須付費訂閱 Netflix 帳號即可直接觀看。親中傳媒的批評反而引發香港網民的強烈關注，導致其收視率在短時間內飆升至香港區榜首。

我們希望透過一起觀看這紀錄片，了解黃之鋒對抗極權的經歷和心態，並共同討論對海外香港人如何自處、如何繼續關心香港嘅。

紀錄片介紹：
《黃之鋒：熱血青年 vs. 超級強權》（Joshua: Teenager vs. Superpower）是一部於 2017 年上映的 Netflix 原創紀錄片。本片由美國導演喬·皮斯卡特拉（Joe Piscatella）執導，片長 78 分鐘，並曾入圍聖丹斯電影節（Sundance Film Festival）的世界紀錄片競賽單元。

912 「聲援黃之鋒」街站

聲援所有因民主自由而被囚禁人士

今日我哋喺Vancouver city center舉辦行動目標係聲援因爭取民主自由而被囚禁嘅黃之鋒。
黃之鋒用咗人生一半嘅時間去爭取香港嘅民主與自由，如今卻失去自由，面臨終身監禁嘅威脅。

然而對黃之鋒嘅打壓並非孤立事件，而是數以百計香港政治犯嘅縮影。記者、律師、議員同普通市民，僅僅因為行使基本人權同言論自由，就被送入監牢。前日，支聯會領袖李卓人、何俊仁同鄒幸彤更被《國安法》重判 5 年至 7 年 3 個月。傳承六四真相、悼念被屠殺嘅死難者，本是香港人嘅記憶，如今卻成罪名。

我哋企出來，唔單止係為咗聲援香港，更係要警惕中共喺本土進行嘅跨境鎮壓與外國干預！就喺尋日，國際頂尖AI公司Anthropic發表報告，講及中共利用Claude AI去進行維穩同跨境鎮壓嘅工作。而溫哥華亦被報告提及，指中共利用AI追蹤海外社運活動，包括溫哥華既支持民主既遊行。因此，我哋必須呼籲我哋嘅政府同社區保持警覺、堅守立場，並保護加拿大人以及加拿大嘅民主制度，制止中共跨境鎮壓嘅長臂，制止繼續侵犯加拿大嘅自由同人權。

FREE ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS
Today, we gather in solidarity with Joshua Wong, who has spent half his life fighting for Hong Kong’s democracy and now faces potential life imprisonment.

His struggle is shared by hundreds of Hong Kong political prisoners—journalists, lawyers, lawmakers, and citizens—imprisoned simply for exercising basic human rights. Just days ago, Alliance leaders Lee Cheuk-yan, Albert Ho, and Chow Hang-tung were handed harsh 5-to-7-year sentences under the National Security Law merely for keeping the memory of the June 4th Massacre alive.

We stand here not only for Hong Kong, but to warn against the CCP’s transnational repression right here at home. A recent report by Anthropic revealed that the CCP has weaponized AI technology—including Claude AI—to track overseas pro-democracy movements, explicitly highlighting activities like rallies right here in Vancouver.

This threat is actively unfolding on Canadian soil. We urgently call on our government and community to stay vigilant, hold the line, stop the long arm of foreign interference, and protect Canada’s democracy, freedoms, and human rights.

Sep 12th - HUMAN CHAIN: STAND WITH JOSHUA WONG
He fought for our freedom—now he has lost his own.

At just 15 years old, Joshua Wong stepped onto the political stage to stand up for democracy. His voice became a defining symbol of Hong Kong’s fight for freedom and self-determination.
Joshua has been imprisoned since December 2020 for standing up for freedom. Though originally scheduled for release in January 2027, the authorities stacked additional National Security Law charges against him—specifically “collusion with foreign forces”—while he was already behind bars. Now, he faces a potential sentence of life imprisonment. They want to silence him forever.

He hasn’t given up—and neither should we. Join us in forming a peaceful human chain to show Joshua, Hong Kong’s political prisoners, and the world that Vancouver has not forgotten them.

[WHEN BOOKS BECOME CRIME] Street Station | Aug 30th

首先，佢哋喺地鐵站用警棍，去摧毀你嘅肉體與反抗意志；  跟住，佢哋用搜查令同手扣，去封殺獨立文化，唔准真相流傳；  最後，佢哋用國安法同法庭，將歷史記憶同民主領袖全部放入監獄。

中共利用我哋引以為傲嘅包容、多元同自由辯論干預，跨國壓迫，恐嚇本地嘅流亡社群、威脅留學生、甚至試圖操縱我哋嘅政治選舉。

當我哋批評佢哋，親中嘅勢力就會立刻將「種族主義」同「反華」當成擋箭牌，去逃避所有合理嘅指責。

我哋要清楚：批判一個專制政權、譴責佢對人權嘅侵害，係對普世價值嘅捍衛！呢個絕對唔係種族歧視！將中共同所有華裔或者中國人綁架埋一齊，係極權最卑劣嘅政治操作，目的係要令西方民主社會投鼠忌器、自我審查。

鄒幸彤：

First, they used batons in the subway stations to break your physical resolve.
Next, they used handcuffs and raids to choke your access to independent culture and truth.
Finally, they use kangaroo courts and national security indictments to lock away your historical memory and political leaders.

The Blind Spot: Democracies like Canada pride themselves on tolerance, open debate, and multiculturalism. But authoritarian regimes view these core values as structural weaknesses to be exploited.

Foreign Interference: We see transnational repression, clandestine networks, and coordinated influence operations right here on Western soil—intimidating diaspora communities, silencing students, and subverting local political discourse.

The Shield of Racism: When democratic governments or civil society organizations criticize the authoritarian actions of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), state-aligned actors frequently deflect by shielding themselves behind accusations of racism.

We must clearly name this manipulation: Criticizing an authoritarian regime, its totalitarian policies, and its human rights abuses is a defense of universal human rights—it is never an attack on an ethnicity or a people. Conflating the CCP with the Chinese diaspora is a deliberate tactic used to freeze legitimate democratic critique.

「WHEN BOOKS BECOME CRIME」 Street Station | Aug 30th (SUN) | Vancouver Art Gallery

Seven years on, and the shadows at Prince Edward Station still echo. We remember August 31, 2019—the night the line between “protect and serve” and unchecked state brutality vanished into the MTR platforms. Accountability was never delivered, but memory refuses to be boarded up.

Today, that same fear of an unyielding truth is why independent bookstores are disappearing. From recent national security raids to forced closures over elusive “red lines”, the crackdown on local bookshops isn’t just about ink and paper—it’s an attempt to legislate what people are allowed to remember and how they are allowed to think.

When reading becomes a seditious act and history is treated as a threat, every open page is an act of resistance.
We remember 831. We stand with those who keep the stories alive. 🕯️📚

831 太子站事件七年過去，陰霾依舊。我哋依然記得 2019 年 8 月 31 號嗰一晚，黨鐵月台上「保護市民」同國家暴力之間嗰條線，係點樣徹底消失。雖然真相重未得到應有嘅交代，但記憶係唔會就咁被圍封嘅。

今日，暴政對歷史真相嘅恐懼，甚至蔓延到獨立書店。由最近嘅國安突擊搜查，到因為各種不明「紅線」而被迫結業嘅書店，呢種打壓唔單止係針對紙張同文字，更係想全面操控大眾嘅記憶同思想。

當閱讀都變成一種「煽動」，當歷史被視為威脅，翻開每一頁書，其實都係一種無聲嘅抵抗。

【721七週年：從元朗黑夜到跨國監控與鎮壓】

昨日感謝每一位來到街站支持的朋友和義工！我們聚在一起，不單是為了守護721 元朗黑夜的真相，更是讓本地人知道中共一直在全球（包括在加拿大）監控與恐嚇異議人士。如果我們不加以製止，我們的自由和價值觀也將受到侵蝕。

重提五個重點：

1. 法治被摧毀：721 警黑勾結徹底粉碎市民信任，徹底摧毀了建立過百年嘅法治。暴政沒有任何底線或限制，為了壓制異議，它們會不擇手段。

2. 打壓真相：執法機關並未全力緝拿黑社會核心人員，反而將司法武器對準揭露真相的吹哨人。揭露真相的反被控, 原告也變成了被告。司法體制全面顛倒。

3. 全球性壓迫：設立非法海外秘密警署，監控並跨境恐嚇海外異見人士。

4. 利用西方民主體制：透過商會,同鄉會,學生會和金錢,人力,物力干預西方選舉，蠶食言論自由。

5. 新法例惡果：2026 年 7 月生效的《中華民族團結進步促進法》延伸境外管轄權，企圖用恐懼令全球噤聲、自我審查。

極權的鎮壓未必始於逮捕，更常始於恐懼。

今日我哋喺溫哥華，與世界各地嘅香港人一同紀念反送中運動七周年，悼念離開我哋嘅手足，以及宏福苑大火嘅死難者。

七年過去，香港經歷《國安法》、47人案、23條立法，以及持續不斷嘅政治打壓，但我哋冇忘記。

我哋記住，因為612代表香港人曾經勇敢站出嚟，爭取民主、自由同法治。

我哋記住，因為每一次紀念，都提醒散落各地嘅手足並不孤單，讓我哋喺各自崗位上繼續堅持、繼續前行。

我哋記住，因為我哋係見證者。我哋有責任將香港發生過嘅事，將真相講畀世界聽。

身處海外，我哋更加明白，中共嘅影響早已超越香港。由英國涉及監控及間諜活動嘅案件、美國Eileen Wang案及海外警察站調查，到加拿大列治文中共警察局，都提醒我哋：中共政權正逐步將影響力延伸至海外，蠶食民主社會嘅運作。

身處加拿大，我哋不單仍然關心香港，亦要保護加拿大，守護自由民主，保持警惕。
