ATTENTION: Our next Board Meeting is on Thursday, Feb 19th, 2026!

We want to thank all grant applicants for their continued dedication and hard work; we look forward to reviewing submissions at our upcoming meeting.

The Governors of the Notary Foundation convene approximately four times annually to review funding applications.

The next scheduled board meeting will be posted on our website. If you would like your application to be before the board at that time please ensure it is received by the posted deadline.

November was a great month for the Notary Foundation!

We're busy reviewing many new grant applications, and our Board of Governors held a successful meeting on November 15, 2025. We found the in-person gathering to be a refreshing experience, and the positive momentum for what lies ahead is encouraging.

This year-end brings some important changes. We said a warm goodbye and thank you to our dedicated governors Kate Manvell and Steve Woo. We also officially welcomed two new governors, Dan Boisvert and Jonathan Wong, to the team.

We are pleased to announce Vicki Van As as our new Chair and extend our warm congratulations to her on this appointment.

We wish to thank all grant applicants for their continued dedication and hard work; we look forward to reviewing future submissions.

IMPORTANT: To ensure your application is reviewed at the February meeting, submissions must be received by the Foundation by January 12, 2026.

Farewell September,

We welcome the new season and show gratitude for another successful month of 2025.

On September 12th the Notary Foundation Board gathered for their 2025 Strategic Plan Review session. The Board was thrilled to be able to meet in-person, and to share space, energy and insight with one another.

The Board is looking forward to continuing discussions and next steps at our upcoming Annual Board meeting, on November 15th, 2025.

IMPORTANT: The Board will also be reviewing Grant applications at our upcoming meeting. If you would like your application to be before the board at that time, please ensure we receive it by October 15th, 2025.

July and August have come and gone! Thank you to everyone who applied for a grant with The Notary Foundation! We hope your summer has been full of good people, good weather and great ideas!

We wrapped up our last Board meeting mid-July with great success. Congratulations to our grant recipients.

IMPORTANT NEWS: Our next Board meeting will be held on November 14th, 2025. If you would like your application to be before the board at that time, please ensure it is received by the Foundation by October 15, 2025.

The Notary Foundation provides funding to Legal Aid BC, law libraries, legal education projects, research and organizations and the maintenance of education programs for notaries public in the province.
