Just over a week until our first beach clean up of the year with ! 🌊🫍🦦

Want to help us celebrate Earth Day by keeping our shoreline clean? Sign the waiver at the link in our bio and meet us at Hadden Park at 10am on Saturday, April 25. We’ll have all the supplies you’ll need, but you’re welcome to bring your own.

With our Gone with the Wind campaign, we’re tackling this issue head-on and working together to stop this unnecessary source of pollution!

Big milestone for our chapter! 💙

Last month, we completed our first-ever remote cleanup, hitting Anvil Island and Gambier Island in Howe Sound! 🪣🌊

Together, our crew removed 225 kg of marine debris, including EPS foam, ropes, rusted metal, rubber, netting, plywood, textiles, plastic bottles, cans, and all sorts of random plastics hiding in those beautiful hidden coves!

Huge thanks to our amazing partners:
🤝 for providing supersacks and taking in the debris
🌊 for site guidance, debris mapping, and cleanup help (special thanks Ellika & Gwyn!)
🚤 Crosby Marine for captaining the boat and getting us there safely
🧢 for donating t-shirts, dry bags, and hats for our volunteers
🎥 And RJ Sauer & team for capturing the whole adventure (video coming soon!)

🌊 CALL OUT FOR A NEW VOLUNTEER 🌊

We’re looking for a new communications coordinator to join our team! You’ll be part of an amazing crew of volunteers and play a key role in leading our communications strategy and overseeing the successful ex*****on of all promotional initiatives!

⏰ Time commitment: 1-3 hours/week (flexible to your availability)

📒 Skills required: Social media savvy and basic design skills (Canva experience is a plus!)

💻 Meetings: Monthly executive meetings to share updates on programs and campaigns

Cheers to another year of stoke and stewardship with through the 2025 WSL Fantasy Pool! 🏄‍♂️💙

Once again, our friends at Pacific Boarder brought the surf community together in the name of good fun and a great cause — raising $920 to support ocean conservation! From epic prize packs each round to a grand prize surfboard for the overall champ, they made sure the stoke was high all season long! 🤙

Thank you for riding this wave with us and helping protect what we love 💙
