BTS: RECAP OF TOY DRIVE
Through the SIC Toy Drive Event 2021, we were able to donate 250+ toys to surrounding CAPC Programs in the Strathcona, Raycam & Britannia Area as well as the Strathcona Daycamp kids. I completed it in the span of 2 days with over 20 volunteers that came together in helping out throughout the way. We thank you to those that were able to follow our journey and hopefully we will be able to see Toy drive 2.0 next year 😉.

The Rotary Club of Vancouver Sunrise not only sponsors us in other aspects besides the toy drive event. For this toy drive event, we had just asked in support of this event and they were able to rise up and contribute without hesitation. We would like to recognize the major support from Alexander Holburn Beaudin & Lang LLP Law firm for partnering with us on this toy drive. By donating over 250 toys to our toy drive, it has made significant contributions to the impact on youth in DTES. Without this, our event wouldn't have been as successful and we are grateful for their tremendous support!!

We are almost at the end of our journey.... 🚐 after wrapping the presents we dropped off them at different locations in the DTES. First off was Strathcona Community Centre for their CAPC program and Daycamp. Then it was off to Raycam community centre for their CAPC program. Last but not least, Britannia Community Centre for their CAPC program. A bus full of presents and toys in dropping them off in time for Christmas!!

With the combined volunteers of the interact club and we carefully selected presents by matching in their age category as well as individually wrapped all of them with their names on it just to add a little special touch of love to it when they receive their present. BTS: SNEAK PEEK

The Strathcona Interact Club was in the holiday spirit and decided to do a white elephant gift exchange with wrapping from string, fitness excise tool box, duck tape and many more. This was the last meeting of the interact club for the 2021 year with ending it off with our Christmas party. Happy holidays and hope to see all our supporters next year! 🪅🎄
