The British Columbia Team Handball Federation is the governing body of Team Handball in British Columbia, Canada.

The British Columbia Team Handball Federation (BCTHF) is a member of the Canadian Team Handball Federation (CTHF). The BC Team Handball Federation had the distinc pleasure of hosting the 2011 Canadian Senior National Team Handball Champioships at the Richmond Olympic Oval, 20-22 May 2011. Handball is played in 183 countries, with 31 million athletes, trainers, officials and referees world wide mak

ing up with 1,130,000 teams. We had the pleasure of having Handball althetes from all walks, Novices to Professionals. Among the few Canadian athletes - Many of our athletes have origins in the United Kingdom, Belgium, Switzerland, Romania, Sweden, Germany, France, Iceland, Japan, Korea, Georgia, Serbia, Argentina, New Zealand, Slovakia, Spain, Hungary, Holland, Isreal, Iran and Saudi Arabia. The British Columbia Team Handball Federation (BCTHF) is expanding youth handball opportunities across British Columbia and is looking for an enthusiastic and responsible Youth Handball Instructor to lead our youth program in New Westminster.

The program introduces children ages 10–14 to handball in a fun, safe, inclusive, and positive environment. Participants may have little or no previous handball experience, so the instructor should be comfortable working with beginners and helping young athletes develop fundamental skills. The West Conference now has 4 new Learning Facilitators, and British Columbia is officially part of this incredible national initiative!

Thanks to for the initiative and for bringing together such great multipliers.

Grateful for the dedication and hard work of all the instructors and evaluators, your effort truly makes a difference.

This marks a new chapter for our province. For the first time, the British Columbia Team Handball Federation will be able to deliver coaching courses and evaluations locally, helping certify the next generation of coaches right here in BC.

Our mission is clear: to develop one of the most qualified coaching communities in Canada and grow our beautiful sport across:

• Primary, Elementary & Secondary Schools
• Colleges & Universities
• Community Centres
• BC After School Programs
• Active Seniors (50+) Programs
• Wheelchair Handball Programs

📣Today is an important day for 🤾Handball in Canada specially for British Columbia.📣

After a long journey of learning, evaluation, and dedication, it is an honour to announce our first nationally certified coaches.

They have demonstrated excellence in handball skills, management, and communication, proving they are ready to take on the role of coach.

This is a major milestone for British Columbia. It means we can continue growing the sport by teaching children, youth, young adults, seniors, and the 50+ community how to play this beautiful game, while promoting high-level skills across the province.

We are incredibly thankful for everyone who volunteered and helped make the Vancouver Cup 2025 at the Richmond Olympic Oval a success!

Your dedication, energy, and commitment made this event unforgettable.

We are also deeply grateful for our partnership with Cornerstone College. A special thank-you to Arnet for facilitating this collaboration and ensuring the delivery of such a high level of commitment from the students.

Their support in hospitality, livestream and broadcast, and sales was essential to the quality and professionalism of the tournament.
