Have your say about housing needs in St. Margaret’s Bay

We are currently gathering information about housing needs and views from the area’s residents through a short survey.

You can find the survey here:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdedj5XFc7P8Yn17TSMxDqKlTR6I0ICWgBLp9j7UWCKRmaBZA/viewform

We want your input. But time is short! The survey deadline is Monday, March 2.

We especially want to hear from adults aged 20 to 45. But all residents and would-be residents of the St. Margaret’s Bay area are welcome to complete the survey, which is anonymous. No identifying details, including email addresses, are being collected.

Note: The survey question “What type of housing would you consider in St. Margaret’s Bay?” says respondents may choose all that apply. In fact, that question allows you to make only one choice, so please select the type of housing you would most prefer.

Domestic Emergency Preparedness Workshop
Hosted by Transition Bay-St Margarets
Sunday, March 29, 2:30pm-4:30pm
Tantallon Public Library
3646 Hammonds Plains Road

It seems we are in an age with increasing numbers of emergency events, including storms, fires, flood, drought and power outages.

Join Transition Bay-St Margarets for an important 2 hours of discussion on preparing your home and your family for any disaster.

The workshop will cover a broad scope of potential situations – not only wildfires, storms, floods and drought, but significant or extended service disruptions, such as a long grid-down events and food or fuel shortages.

Discussion may cover the potential for neighbourhood refuge centres, as well as the possible need for evacuation bags and supplies. Water conservation techniques during periods of drought may also be discussed.

Special guest Laura Brine, Communication and Training Coordinator, HRM Emergency Management and Community Safety, will be leading the discussion.
