Our Kick off to Summer Event is almost a week away!! Join us on June 20th, 2026 from 10am - 2pm for a full day of games, crafts, and delicious food. Our craft table and canteen are being run by our very own Leaders in Training program, who are putting their new skills to work! Come support our future leaders!

Well, Hello there! 👋 Thank you to this growing community and the outpouring of support. We've connected with so many more of you recently that we thought it's time to re-share some information about what exactly Craft Cycle does!

Creative ReUse programs are committed to reducing waste by repurposing new and previously owned supplies. Offering opportunities for individuals and businesses to recycle and reuse materials that might otherwise end up in landfills. ♻️ Our materials diverted is over 1700 lbs for 2026.

Currently we are curating donations of clean, gently used supplies within A Bunch of Whimsy 142 Bridge Street, Carleton Place, ON. New items are put out daily, so you'll never know what you'll find. The space is shopable 7 days a week 10am to 5pm.

By sourcing donations of diverse products – from leftover fabrics, buttons, thread and yarn, to postcards, old photographs, scrapbooking items, usable paints, jewelry making, and any other creative supplies – Craft Cycle aims to create a circular ecosystem of creativity that benefits local crafters, people in our community, and the environment. By fostering a culture of reuse and innovation, we hope to make a positive impact locally and for the planet.🎨🖍 🌎

The sales from the ReUse Centre help fund and supply the community Maker Space, Thursday through Sunday and offer accessible creative drop-in sessions several times a month.

🛑 Recycling/Reusing is important, but as we are a craft supply repurposer there are things we will not accept: large furniture, clothing, housewares, personal products, construction materials, damaged materials that can no longer be reused, finished holiday decorations or flammable materials (incl. candles) Please no half finished craft projects for us to deconstruct.

We have so many great things to say about yesterday's Mighty Machines event put on by the amazing staff at The Town of Carleton Place Childcare Services! Thank you to everyone who stopped by yesterday to help us create some fabulous art. 🫟

It's the last few days of our fabric de-stash sale. 50% off medium and large sized pieces and smaller bits are still 2 for a $1. Fresh pieces to the floor daily, but we need to clear the shelf to keep offering more! Stop by 10am to 5pm.

🚜 MIGHTY MACHINES 2026 IS HERE - RAIN OR SHINE!
Mighty Machines 2026 is a fundraiser event — all money raised goes directly back to supporting the children in the infant, toddler, preschool, and school-age programs, helping enhance classroom environments and learning experiences. This year is going to be BIGGER than ever with so many amazing trucks, unique vehicles, community partners, vendors, activities for the kids, and so much more!

Craft Cycle will be in attendance running a hands on activity, so come by and see what we’re up to!

Come enjoy the 2nd annual summer markets at A Bunch of Whimsy. Vendors will be offered in front or in the courtyard of 142 Bridge st. They will include local creators, artists and food vendors.

The Reuse Centre will be open to shop and offering a drop-in activity in the Makers Space!

Our community connections continue to grow adding several local businesses to our donor list and our materials diverted approaches 2000 pounds! We are still accepting donations and have a shopable space 7 days a week, 10am to 5pm at 142 Bridge Street inside A Bunch of Whimsy. Please review our donation list for accepted materials.

Our fabric section is overflowing and needs a summer refresh, so that means deals for you. Starting May 25th till June 7th our larger pieces of fabric are 50% off! If you’re just looking for smaller pieces, the $1 shelf has also been restocked!

Need a night out with friends or time for yourself to create? Join us in the Maker Space last Tuesday of the month for CrafterHours 6pm to 8pm!

Enjoy access to our collection of overflow materials and basic crafting tools to work on your own project or check the Event Hub for themed nights.

Our sit down, self-led Maker Space is located inside A Bunch of Whimsy in Downtown Carleton Place. Come join us Thursday through Sunday and take some time for yourself to slowdown, be creative, and enjoy. We have created an accessible open art area capable of hosting crafters of all ages and skill levels. Time in the Maker Space includes access to overflow materials, basic crafting tools, and a dedicated area to create. Bring a friend, come alone, or book the entire space for a group and see what we're all about!
