El Sistema Lehigh Valley Allentown Symphony Association's Program of social action through music for kids and young people, based on Venezuela's El Sistema philosophy. Susquehanna Bank

El Sistema Lehigh Valley, a program of the Allentown Symphony Association, brings underserved and special needs youth a free opportunity to develop life skills learned by participating in high-quality daily music instruction, large ensemble experience and performances, and academic tutoring within a safe and nurturing environment. Participants will develop discipline, the ability to set and achieve long-term goals, and a sense of social responsibility inside a community that cherishes creativity, imagination, and music. This will empower the Lehigh Valley community when their young artists, respective families, and community members come together to celebrate the achievement of their youths. The Allentown Symphony Orchestra gratefully acknowledges the Ann and Gordon Getty Foundation and the League of American Orchestras for their generous support of this program. Founding Sponsors:

How do we achieve our goals as musicians?

We focus on the DETAILS! 👌👌👌

Mr Jorge’s Interlude Orchestra class perfected their trill technique through careful and detailed practice.

Way to go Interludes! We love seeing you focus on the details as a team 🎻

Day 1, COMPLETE! ✅

We kicked off the year by doing what we love best, being TOGETHER!
Returning friends and new faces got to experience their first day as a full program together. There were many happy smiles as kids reunited, and sweet moments as our oldest students took our very youngest beginners under their wing.

We look forward to a wonderful year with these amazing musicians, and to living every day according to our motto: “In an Orchestra, we do everything TOGETHER!”

That’s a wrap on our ESLV Staff Retreat! 🎶🎻

Our team spent two full days in professional development sessions preparing for the upcoming school year, talking through our new space, procedures and protocols, and aligning around our goals for the year ahead.

We closed out the retreat with a conducting workshop led by our very own Allentown Symphony Music Director, Diane Wittry! Thank you, Diane, for sharing your expertise with our Teaching Artists. 👏🪄

We’re feeling energized and ready for a great year!

🏠 Come see our new home at our Open House!
📅 September 22 | 6–8 PM

We hope to see you there!
