What's your why?
For me, it's about helping people live with more peace and purpose so that the world gets the best of them. There is so much unnecessary suffering. I'm specifically referring to first-world self-sabotage suffering. It's as if we are pre-programmed to self-destruct, despite tremendous opportunity.
If someone overcomes their self-sabotage, there is an exponential positive effect on the world. The faster we can do this, the faster the world heals, innovates, and finds solutions for our greatest challenges. So, the fact that we've (Douglas J Tataryn | Tracy Lee Thibodeau) built a tool to help coaches and therapists do their important work better and faster MATTERS. People are more motivated to change what they can measure - we measure it. Coaches and therapists are more effective when they are working with the root causes - we find them. Coaches and therapists get faster results when they see the whole picture - we reveal it.
I love this quote by Howard Thurman, and I think it captures my why in an elegant way:
"Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.'
Helping others to come alive MATTERS. Whatever your role in the world is, when we do this collectively, things change at the most beautiful pace!
