This Is A Historic Day! 🗓

Starting July 1, 2024, the use of the title "Behaviour Analyst" will be regulated under the new Psychology and Applied Behaviour Analysis Act (2021). 🎓

Only members of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts (CPBAO) registered as Behaviour Analysts will be authorized to use this title. 🏛️

We would like to thank all of the past presidents, vice-presidents, board of directors, members, and all of the individuals that worked hard to make this all possible. We would love to thank the College of Psychologists for their recognition and their continued support.

What does it mean now?

🔹 Unregulated practitioners cannot use the title "Behaviour Analyst."

🔹 They cannot indicate any certification or designation related to being a Behaviour Analyst.

🔹 Misuse of the title will prompt the College to take corrective actions.

If you encounter an unregulated individual claiming to be a Behaviour Analyst, you should:

✅ Report them to the CPBAO

✅ Reach out to their employer

✅ Seek legal advice

Your safety and proper regulation in the field are our top priorities! 💪

📢 Stay informed and make sure to verify the credentials of your Behaviour Analyst to ensure you receive the best possible care and services.

I have no doubt so many of you are in the same boat as I am. Our youngster doesn't eat chocolate or any sweets. He has every possible sensory, fidget, specialty toy under the sun & we are grasping at what to get him this Easter.

Please comment with your ideas or what you are gifting this weekend. We also love experiences so an adventure suggestion is also welcome!
