Rosanna Sonia Hille 🌹
13 June 1945 — 6 March 2026
Writer, Artist, Gardener, Chair of SDIA.

It is with deep sadness and profound gratitude that we share the passing of Rosanna Hille, who left this world peacefully on the evening of 6 March 2026, surrounded by her family.

Born on 13 June 1945, Rosanna lived a life of extraordinary breadth and quiet purpose. In the words of her daughter, Veda: "She was a writer, an artist, a gardener, a devoted mother, and the beloved matriarch of a wide-ranging family."

To those of us in the Subud community and at Susila Dharma International Association, she was also a founding force — the elected Chair and first Executive Director of SDIA, who shaped the organisation with wisdom, vision, and tireless dedication for over a decade.

In her years of illness, Rosanna met each day with the same grace and spiritual surrender that had guided her throughout her life. Her passing is a great loss, and her legacy is a great gift.

A gathering in her name will be held by her family in Vancouver and will be available online. Details to follow.

We extend our deepest love and condolences to her children and all her family and to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

2026 Kick-off 📌and Leadership Announcement 🗣

Dear Valued Funders, Donors, and Stakeholders,

As the sun rises on a new year, the I Protect Me (IPM) family is filled with a renewed sense of purpose. We are pleased to confirm that our operations for 2026 have officially commenced, and we are hitting the ground running.
This year marks the beginning of an exciting era for our organisation. We are proud to announce that the baton has been formally passed to Emmerentia Saffier-Adams, who has been appointed as the new Programme Manager of I Protect Me South Africa.

Stepping into this role with the full confidence of the Board, Emmerentia will lead and strengthen IPM’s grassroots work across the country. She is dedicated to guiding our mission to empower communities, drive awareness, and create sustainable impact.
Speaking on her appointment and vision for the future,

Emmerentia shares:
“I step into this role with deep humility, bold faith, and an unshakable commitment to the communities we serve. I Protect Me is more than an organisation it is a calling to protect, empower, and restore dignity.
I am honoured by the trust placed in me by the Board, and I commit to leading with integrity, courage, and compassion. Together with our team, partners, and communities, we will strengthen grassroots impact, raise our voices against abuse, and equip children, youth, and vulnerable adults to stand in their power and protect their worth.
This is not just a new role, it is a renewed mandate. The work continues, and we move forward together.”

As we embark on this journey under new leadership, we are reminded that our work is only possible because of you. You are the backbone of our mission. Your unwavering support allows us to continue advocating for safety, empowerment, and resilience within our communities.

🎓 Celebrating a Milestone in Child Development!

We're thrilled to announce that the first group of ICDP facilitators in Germany received their certificates on August 24th, 2025! These dedicated professionals from various child and adult care organizations have completed their training with remarkable enthusiasm.

The results speak for themselves: Parents participating in the program reported beautiful transformations in their relationships with their children. One parent shared how their child noticed positive changes in their behavior, making them feel more emotionally supported. Another described feeling the group's presence helping guide them during challenging moments with their child.

As one facilitator beautifully put it: "It felt like a breath of fresh air from the busy day, shared in a circle of trust."
The ICDP program in Germany is led by psychologist Rita Crecelius, with support from Early Childhood Education and Development (nifbe) and AEWB. The next facilitator training begins in February 2026!

Today, we bring you news from the United States! 😊👋

In honor of National Recovery Month, one of our members, Quest Center for Integrative Health —whose mission is precisely to offer integrated health services, foster community, and provide education for all individuals committed to wellness-centered living—participated in the annual Hands Across the Bridge event.

This annual event is held on Labor Day, specifically on the Interstate 5 Bridge connecting Oregon and Washington over the Columbia River, and takes place on the Interstate pedestrian walkway where people stretch across the bridge holding hands.

For 24 years, this symbolic act has marked the beginning of National Recovery Month, which has been observed every September since 1989. Its purpose is to raise awareness and celebrate the successes of those in recovery, and to provide a stigma-free place for people affected by substance use disorders to come together. Participants often carry photos of themselves before they were sober.

Although the SDIA network is made up of members and supporters worldwide, we invite you to join and celebrate Recovery Month. 🤗

Because ‘Recovery is for everyone,’ just like the event motto says.
