Are you a young entrepreneur aged 18–35 building something in Saskatchewan?🙋

$5,000 bursaries + mentorship support are up for grabs through the Young Entrepreneur Bursary Program, funded by the Government of Saskatchewan and administered by the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce. 57 recipients will be selected from across the province.

Celebrate Unity 2026 – Exemplary Service!

At our Celebrate Unity 2026 event on March 2nd, current and past members of the Unity Fire Department were recognized for their contributions to keeping our community and surrounding area safe. Receiving recognition and exemplary awards, including special long term awards and in attendance as shown in photo were: Leroy Timmermans (retired Town Chief), Allan Sopyc (current Rural Chief), Dwaine Kopp (retired Town Chief), Jeremy Thompson (current Deputy Chief), Colby Klein (current Town Chief), and Glenn Klein (current Deputy Rural Chief).

We extend a HUGE thank you to ALL of our Town and rural Fire Fighters for keeping our community safe and to especially acknowledge those who have served as chiefs, taking on extra responsibility and giving up more personal time. Thank you all for your selfless service.

Local Career Fair is Back!

Chamber member Chelsea Shepherd from Pattison Ag, recognized the need for the local Career Fair to return to Unity! In partnership with the Unity Chamber of Commerce, UCHS, local businesses and post-secondary institutions, students and families attended the career fair during the student led conferences held on April 24th. Twelve local businesses participated.

The event showcased the many career opportunities available right here in our community, while giving students a chance to connect with local employers and explore future possibilities close to home.

A big thank you to the Delta Co-op, Unity Credit Union, and the Town of Unity for providing a light meal for attendees and to Chelsea for reaching out to local businesses.

Geraldine Barrett, a massage therapist who owned and operated Sunrise Wellness Spa in Unity for over 40 years, was unable to make it to Celebrate Unity in March to be recognized as retiring from business in 2025.

With the many contributions she made to the community of Unity and to the Unity and District Chamber of Commerce, the Celebrate Unity committee still wanted to thank her for her years of service. A committee member visited a delighted Geraldine in Saskatoon on May 1 to deliver a framed photo with an engraved plaque.

Thanks Geraldine for your commitment and passion towards our commUNITY.
