The Stewart Memorial Healthcare Auxiliary recently donated $10,000 to the Tyne Valley Fire Department in appreciation of all they do as first responders. The Auxiliary marked 75 years of fundraising in 2025.

The Stewart Memorial Healthcare Auxiliary recently presented their twelfth annual Dr. Joyce Madigane Memorial Scholarships to three students pursuing careers in healthcare: Calista Bulger, Jenna Gallant and Jamie MacLeod.
Dr. Madigane served the Tyne Valley area as a family doctor and medical director of Stewart Memorial Hospital for nearly 40 years before her death in 2014, and the Auxiliary created the scholarship to honour her service to the community.
