🌿 FORAGE & FEAST – WILD FOOD EXPERIENCE

Looking for a unique outdoor adventure? Join Willow Hill Lodge on Sunday, June 14 from 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. for a hands-on wild food experience that connects you to nature, learning, and great food.

Explore native grasslands with experienced wild food forager Julie Walker, learn to identify edible and medicinal plants, and then help transform your harvest into a delicious shared feast on the lodge deck.

Your experience includes:
🌱 Guided foraging walk
🥩 Local Alberta beef
🍵 Wild-crafted tea and refreshments
🍴 Cathy’s signature wild appetizers
🌿 Herbs, spices, condiments, and all prep supplies

Please bring comfortable walking shoes, water, weather-appropriate clothing, and a small bag or basket for collecting plants.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Community Survey and Town Hall.

The message was clear: our community is ready to start planning for the future. Residents shared strong support for recreation, wellness, community gathering spaces, and a long-term vision for Diamond Valley.

As we move forward, the DVCA will focus on strategic planning, growing membership and volunteer involvement, strengthening partnerships, and advocating for the needs of our community. We are also exploring charitable status to expand future fundraising opportunities.

The Diamond Valley Community Association (DVCA) is inviting you to participate in a community-wide survey to help shape the future of our shared spaces, programs, and priorities.

Over the past several months, we have heard strong interest in creating welcoming community gathering spaces, improving local infrastructure, supporting recreation and arts, and strengthening connections across Diamond Valley. Now, we want to hear from everyone in the community.

Plein Air Day at Willow Hill Lodge

Looking for a peaceful, creative day outdoors this fall?

Willow Hill Lodge is hosting a self-guided Plein Air painting day across 67 acres of beautiful foothill landscape — including forest trails, historic boardwalks, open fields, and quiet scenic spaces to explore.

This is a relaxed, unstructured day designed for artists who simply want time and space to create in nature. There’s no instruction or scheduled programming — just bring your supplies and settle in wherever inspiration strikes.

Date: October 11
Arrival Window: 10:00–11:00 AM
Cost: $15 per person

What to bring:
• Your own painting or drawing supplies
• Lunch and water
• Optional chair or stool
• Weather-appropriate clothing

What’s included:
• Access to the full 67-acre property
• Forest trails, boardwalks, open fields, and historic features
• A quiet, private setting to work at your own pace
