The Diamond Valley Community Association supports this community initiative and is sharing the invitation to help spread the word. This meeting is independently organized and is not hosted or run by DVCA.

Help us shape what comes next for Diamond Valley!

The Diamond Valley Community Association is looking for community members and local groups interested in joining one of five volunteer subcommittees:

💧 Water and pool — features for a proposed future recreation centre
⛸️ Ice surfaces — current and potential spaces for recreation and sport
🏀 Indoor spaces — courts, fields, theatre and community spaces in a proposed future recreation centre
🤝 Fundraising — supporting community goals
📣 Communications and strategic relations — connecting with residents and community partners

PUZZLE PALOOZA!

Think your team has what it takes to beat the clock?

Grab 3 friends and put your puzzle skills to the test! Teams of four will compete against up to 10 teams to complete a 500-piece puzzle in just 3 hours.

Competition: 6:00–9:00 PM

There’ll be a w**e bar, snacks, raffle and puzzle exchange, plus you can bring your own cheering section! Not competing? Come hang out, have a drink and cheer on your favourite team.

🌿 FORAGE & FEAST – WILD FOOD EXPERIENCE

Looking for a unique outdoor adventure? Join Willow Hill Lodge on Sunday, June 14 from 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. for a hands-on wild food experience that connects you to nature, learning, and great food.

Explore native grasslands with experienced wild food forager Julie Walker, learn to identify edible and medicinal plants, and then help transform your harvest into a delicious shared feast on the lodge deck.

Your experience includes:
🌱 Guided foraging walk
🥩 Local Alberta beef
🍵 Wild-crafted tea and refreshments
🍴 Cathy’s signature wild appetizers
🌿 Herbs, spices, condiments, and all prep supplies

Please bring comfortable walking shoes, water, weather-appropriate clothing, and a small bag or basket for collecting plants.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Community Survey and Town Hall.

The message was clear: our community is ready to start planning for the future. Residents shared strong support for recreation, wellness, community gathering spaces, and a long-term vision for Diamond Valley.

As we move forward, the DVCA will focus on strategic planning, growing membership and volunteer involvement, strengthening partnerships, and advocating for the needs of our community. We are also exploring charitable status to expand future fundraising opportunities.

Just a reminder that you are invited to attend the upcoming Townhall held by the Diamond Valley Community Association, where we will share the results of the recent survey and discuss the next steps of the future of our community.

🗓️ Date: Monday, June 8, 2026
📍 Location: Turner Valley Legion
⏰ Doors open at 6 PM (presentation begins at 6:30 PM.)

The bar will be open and there will be snacks. The Townhall is an opportunity to review what we heard, discuss emerging themes and explore where we go from here. Everyone is welcome to attend. Please feel free to share this invitation with anyone you think may be interested in hearing about the survey results and participating in the conversation.
