🎰 Casino Volunteers Needed – September 24 & 25

The Sheep Creek Arts Council casino fundraiser will take place on Thursday, September 24 and Friday, September 25 at ACE Casino on Blackfoot Trail in Calgary.

This is SCAC’s largest fundraiser and only happens once every three years. The previous casino raised approximately $60,000, helping support arts programming, activities, and creative opportunities in our community.

We are still looking for volunteers for the following positions:

📅 Thursday & Friday
• Chip Runners – 6:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.
• Cashiers – 6:45 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.

📅 Thursday Only
• Count Room Volunteer – 11:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.

🍽️ Meals are provided for all casino volunteers ⭐️

Cashier positions are key roles and require AGLC paperwork to be completed in advance.

If you can lend a hand, please sign up as soon as possible. We especially need Cashiers and Chip Runners on both days.

Volunteers can sign up through the Sign Up Genius link or by using the volunteer sign-up form posted on the bulletin board at the Arts Council.

🎉 A Huge Thank You to Our Amazing Volunteers! 🥧🧵

What a wonderful Quilt Show & Bake Sale!

Thanks to the incredible generosity, hard work, and community spirit of so many volunteers, bakers, quilters, donors, and supporters, this year’s event was a tremendous success.

From harvesting and preparing rhubarb, rolling pastry, baking pies, creating beautiful quilt displays, accepting donations, organizing baked goods, helping with sales, and keeping everything running smoothly on the day of the event – it truly took a village.

A special thank you to everyone who donated rhubarb, baked goods, supplies, time, and talent. By 3:00 p.m., nearly everything had sold out – a testament to the outstanding support from our community!

We are also grateful to the Valley Neighbours Club for the use of their facility, AG Foods for helping bake our pies, and all of the volunteers who worked behind the scenes to make the day possible.

Thank you to everyone who attended, purchased baking, admired the quilts, and supported this important fundraiser. Events like these showcase the creativity, generosity, and community spirit that make Diamond Valley such a special place.
