Today, I received this beautiful handwritten note from a senior in our community, and it brought tears to my eyes.
On Christmas Day, our “Cheerful Elves” delivered a turkey dinner and a little extra love to her door, and this simple act had a profound effect on her.

This is exactly what Operation Kindness was meant to be—a reminder that even the smallest gestures can make someone feel seen, valued, and loved.

To my amazing team of volunteers: Thank you.
Your time, your energy, your compassion—it all matters so much. This note is for you. This is the result of your heart in action.

What started as a “crazy idea” has turned into something truly special, and I am beyond grateful to have like-minded souls helping bring it to life.

The Spirit of Kindness is Alive in Colchester this Christmas

This morning, over 70 selfless volunteers gave up their Christmas morning to deliver something far more meaningful than just meals—they delivered love, warmth, and companionship to seniors in our community. Armed with turkey dinners, desserts, and even shovels, we touched the lives of over 250 seniors who needed not just a hearty meal but heartfelt visits that made this day a little less lonely.

As I reflect on this incredible day, I am deeply humbled by the overwhelming support and generosity of this community. What started as a “crazy idea” for Stephanie and me has turned into something truly magical, thanks to the kindness and dedication of so many.

I can’t wait to hear the stories from our amazing delivery teams—the connections made, the smiles shared, and the warmth spread. And as we close out this year, my thoughts are already on how we can grow this in 2025. How many more seniors can we touch next year?

To every volunteer, supporter, and friend who made today possible—thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. This was not just a morning of giving; it was proof that the spirit of kindness and community is very much alive in Colchester.

The elves are hard at work finalizing the last-minute preparations! Tomorrow, we will have the privilege of reaching over 250 seniors in our community. I’m truly excited to deliver Christmas dinners and connect with our seniors. The Spirit of Christmas is alive and thriving in Colchester. Words can’t express how proud I am of our incredible community, our supportive business partners, and the amazing team of volunteers who helped turn this ambitious idea into reality.

🎄 Spreading the Gift of Christmas – Year 3 of Operation Kindness 🎄

What started as a simple idea three years ago has grown into a heartwarming tradition that brings joy to the Colchester community.

In Year 1, we delivered 50 Christmas dinners to seniors who were spending the holidays alone. It wasn’t just about the meal – it was about sharing a heartfelt moment, making a connection, and leaving them with a smile.

In Year 2, our Operation Kindness family grew. With the help of 45 amazing Santa’s elves, we delivered 125 meals on Christmas Day, bringing even more warmth and cheer to those in need.

Now, as we approach Year 3, our team of dedicated elves has grown to 60, and we’re excited to deliver 250 Christmas dinners to the elderly in our community.

Stephanie and I are so humbled and proud to lead this incredible initiative. It’s our way of giving back and ensuring that the spirit of Christmas—the spirit of kindness—is alive and well.
