Our Monthly Support Group encourages a supportive environment where individuals are safe to express feelings, struggles, and questions in participant-centred conversations. We also welcome those who may not feel comfortable contributing to conversation but still wish to be present to listen and learn!

🎨Heal Your Heart with Art

A safe space for women who have experienced intimate partner violence or relationship trauma to use painting and art as a means of expression and healing. Art supplies are provided and there is no cost to participate.

Nova Scotia Seniors can apply for a $750 grant to help with healthcare and household costs.

The annual Seniors Care Grant program has helped tens of thousands of people across the province with the cost of home heating, yard work, meal preparation, grocery and prescription medication deliveries, phone service and more to help people stay in their homes longer.

People 65 or older, with a household income up to $45,100, are eligible for the grant. They can apply:
-- online at: https://www.novascotia.ca/apply-help-household-healthcare-and-home-heating-costs-seniors-care-grant
-- by mail: Seniors Care Grant, P.O. Box 160, STN Central, Halifax, N.S. B3J 2M4
-- with print applications available at Access Nova Scotia centres or by calling 1-800-670-4357 (toll-free).

The deadline for applications is December 1.

Seniors who are signed up for direct deposit with the Canada Revenue Agency will receive funds through direct deposit. All other eligible applicants will receive their payment by cheque.
