This Thursday, May 28, we celebrate Young Caregivers!

On that day, Young Caregivers Association is hosting two free events: a free movie screening at 7 p.m. EST and a 24-hour conference with multiple insightful sessions!

🌄 Like a Mountain is a 25 minute documentary, following Sam, a caregiver for her dad who lives with a rare schizoaffective condition. Sam joins filmmaker and cancer survivor Mike Lang, along with world-renowned mindfulness researcher Dr. Linda Carlson, on a backcountry trek through the Yukon. Through the dialogue and reflection, the documentary illustrates the hidden challenges of being a young caregiver.

📚 Silent strength - throughout the day, you can join multiple sessions focusing on young caregivers experiences and challenges.

Starting today, support us in or two community fundraisers to make lives better for those in our communities!

Mensural May is a fundraiser to support women of all ages by providing mensural hygienic products to those who cannot otherwise afford them on their own. The fundraiser is starting today and running until May 30th.

We are also starting a youth food drive to help fight off hunger for teens and young adults in our community. Food is an essential for everyone, and many youth often struggle to feed themselves when living in environments that lack the healthy supports they need. Our food drive is located at 859 Prince Street.

If you wish to donate to one or both of these events, please drop your donation off to us at 859 Prince Street Mon-Fri during business hours. For questions please call 902-895-4211 Ext 3.

Our first Youth Art Showcase was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who came to look and buy some of this amazing art. Also a huge thank you to all our vendors and volunteers who worked to make this night happen! We loved every minute of it and cannot wait to have another one.

Our Youth Art Showcase is almost here!

Come see our local young artists tomorrow (May 7th) at 859 Prince Street 6pm-8pm and check out the works they've created. Anything from paintings, sculptures, digital designs and more. Our youth will be here to show their talents and potentially sell their pieces. Entry for the community is free. Coffee and snacks will be provided. Donations are also welcome. We still have spots left!!!!

If you are a young aspiring artist in the community, make sure to sign up for our Art Showcase happening May 7th. Whether you are a painter, sculptor, wood carver, animator, graphic designer, or any other visual artist we want you here! Artist are also allowed to sell their work during the event if they so choose.

We also want our community members to come and see what our young talents display. The Showcase is happening 5pm-7pm. We hope to see you all there!
