The STEPs on Arthur Foundation is the fundraising arm of STEPs on Arthur, supporting long-term sustainability and growth. For over 35 years, STEPs on Arthur has provided programs for adults with intellectual disabilities in Truro, Nova Scotia.
This role supports events and administration while assisting with a digital legacy project to create an interactive touchscreen display showcasing donor stories, community impact, and history.
Responsibilities:
• Administrative tasks
• Welcoming visiting donors
• Assisting with event planning, marketing and implementation
• Supporting coordination of marketing materials
• Developing website content
• Attending meetings and events
• Assisting in the digital legacy wall project, including research, development, content creation, implementation and creation of user guide
Qualifications:
• Strong digital literacy and ability to learn new tools and platforms
• Experience with design tools such as Canva, Adobe and PowerPoint
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliability, punctuality and professionalism when engaging with the public
• Interest in community work and storytelling
Applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons aged 15 to 30 and available for 35 hours per week for 8 weeks. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain nonprofit experience and lead a meaningful digital project with lasting community impact.
