Some of the best parts of our Golf Tournament aren't just the scores - they're the memories made together.

Meet The Pothier Power Shift, a family team returning for their third STEPs on Arthur Foundation Golf Tournament! The team includes Claude and Pat Pothier, along with their children and spouses: Cory & Amanda Pothier and Heather & Tyler Hines. Their team name is a fun nod to the days when Heather and Cory worked the drive-thru at their parents' Tim Hortons.

Golf has always been a family tradition. Claude and Pat introduced Heather and Cory to the game when they were just 8 or 9 years old, and their passion grew so much that both siblings went on to play golf for their university teams. Tyler has been golfing since he was 14, making this a team with plenty of experience - and one unique twist! Fun fact: Claude and Cory both putt left-handed but swing right-handed! Talk about keeping everyone guessing on the greens.

When asked why they keep coming back to the STEPs on Arthur Foundation tournament, Heather shared something many families can relate to: "It's the only time all summer we all get to golf together - work, kids, travel and just life get in the way!"

Thank you to the Pothier family for your continued support of the STEPs on Arthur Foundation. We can't wait to see The Pothier Power Shift back on the course this September!

The STEPs Capital Campaign was initiated in 2019, to address the physical space needs stemming from ongoing expansion of programs and clientele. Led by Jol and Maura Hunter and supported by the Capital Campaign team of the Foundation, this multimillion-dollar campaign aimed to provide the capital to restore a building adjacent to Rotary House on Arthur Street. This building, to become known as Delaney House, would house the expanded Tim Hortons New to You, the renamed Snook Café, Rotary apartments and administrative spaces.

Funds were raised through canvassing community businesses, families and individuals for recurrent yearly pledges over a five-year period. A total of 113 donors were secured, with a total of $3,981,059.42 raised. Renovations commenced in 2020, with the grand opening of Delaney House taking place in August of 2022.

As we near fulfillment of the Capital Campaign, we would like to express our gratitude to our community for their unwavering dedication to the ongoing growth of STEPs, which is critical to fulfilment of our mission.
