National Indigenous Peoples Day (June 21) recognizes and celebrates the cultures and contributions of the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Indigenous peoples of Canada. It is also an opportunity to recognize the strength and resilience of present-day Indigenous communities.

We encourage you to take an opportunity to share and learn about the rich culture, traditions, and heritage of the diverse Indigenous people that have shaped both Nova Scotia and Canada as a whole.
