Brokenshell Multiple 4-H Club members had success at the Weyburn 4-H Inter Club Show. Congratulations Owen Pulfer for placing second in junior judging, Payton Caldwell and Hannah Caldwell for placing first and second in the senior judging. Payton and Hannah also placed first and second in the Regional Judging competition and will compete at the Provincial 4-H judging event. Hailey Caldwell was second for Intermediate showmanship. Payton received the Honour of being awarded the Richard Tollefson Memorial Award.

Brokenshell heifers had success. Champion Charolais Heifer owned by Payton Caldwell and Reserve Champion Simmental Heifer shown by Riley Sali. Brokenshell heifers ( Riley, Hailey, Payton, Hannah, Addy) placed second in group of 5 heifers.

🐔🎉 Congratulations, Walker! 🎉🐔

A huge congratulations to Walker Kravanya, the winner of our Plymouth Barred Rock breeding trio raffle! 🖤🤍

Walker is already looking forward to showing these beautiful birds at the National Poultry Show in Moose Jaw this November. This will be his first opportunity to exhibit birds of his own, and we couldn't be more excited for him. Congratulations, buddy—we can't wait to see how they do!

This fundraiser was an incredible success thanks to the amazing support of our community. Together, we raised $920, with the proceeds being shared between the Brokenshell Multiple 4-H Club Poultry Project and the Weyburn Humane Society. Every ticket purchased helped support local youth and animals, and we're so grateful to everyone who contributed.

A very special thank you to Raymond Dunlop for generously donating this outstanding Plymouth Barred Rock breeding trio. Your support and generosity helped make this fundraiser possible, and we truly appreciate everything you do to encourage and support young poultry exhibitors across Saskatchewan.

Thank you to everyone who bought tickets, shared our fundraiser, and cheered us on. Congratulations again, Walker! We hope these birds are the start of many successful years in the show ring. 🏆🐓

🐓 History was made this week! 🐓

What started as an idea around a table turned into Saskatchewan's first sanctioned 4-H Poultry Show, and we couldn't be happier with how the day unfolded.

Twenty-one 4-H members from the Missouri Coteau Multi, Longlaketon Multiple, and Brokenshell Multiple 4-H Clubs brought more than 50 birds to the Weyburn Ag Society's 4-H Days for the inaugural Coop to Crown Poultry Show on Tuesday June 30th.

There were prizes handed out, champions crowned, and some beautiful birds on display, but the best part wasn't the results.

It was watching members confidently answer showmanship questions, helping each other get birds ready, asking our judge questions, learning new grooming techniques during the chicken bathing demo, and seeing younger siblings happily creating crafts while cheering everyone on. That's what made the day special.

Congratulations to every single exhibitor who stepped into the ring. Raising and preparing poultry takes months of commitment, and it showed. We'd also like to recognize all of our class winners and congratulate Hunter Wagner on being named Champion of Show with his Black Copper Maran pullet, and Gavin Benko, whose Silkie earned Reserve Champion of Show.

A huge thank you goes to Raymond Dunlop for sharing his knowledge throughout the day, to the Weyburn Agricultural Societyfor welcoming us as part of 4-H Days, to our generous sponsors, our volunteers, and all of the families who helped make the day run so smoothly.

Most importantly, thank you to the kids. You embraced something brand new, supported one another, and helped make Saskatchewan 4-H history.

We hope this is just the beginning. See you all at the 2nd Annual Coop to Crown Poultry Show next year! 💚🐔
