Incident Report- Sept 4,2026 1:19 AM

Early this morning, NTFD was called to assist Rathwell Fire Department with a single vehicle motor vehicle collision.

Firefighters, EMS, and RCMP arrived on scene, with the occupants already out of the vehicle.

Crews assisted with scene safety and remained on scene as needed.

We remind everyone to slow down, stay alert, and drive according to road conditions.

🚜 HARVEST SAFETY REMINDER 🚜

Harvest is in full swing, and that means large farm equipment will be moving on our roads.

Please slow down, be patient, and give farm equipment plenty of time and space. A little extra caution can help keep everyone safe.

A big thank you to firefighters Kertis Latimer and Calvin Kilpatrick for assisting the community of Dauphin during their time of need!

I would like to take a moment after a very long day to say thank you to the members of Dauphin FD that battled the water and worked all the other calls for service over the past two days! I am so proud of each and every one of you!

Incident Report – June 29, 2026. 9:14 P.M.

NTFD responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a deer within the Municipality of Norfolk Treherne.

Upon arrival, the vehicle occupants were already out of the vehicle and being assessed by EMS. Firefighters secured the vehicle, which had come to rest in the ditch, and remained on scene until Central Towing arrived to remove the vehicle.

Thank you to 911 Dispatch, EMS, RCMP, and Central Towing for their assistance. Please stay alert for wildlife on roadways, especially during dawn and dusk when wildlife activity is highest

This week, Norfolk Treherne Fire Department received two brand new MSA G1 Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) units.

These new SCBAs mark the beginning of replacing our aging, obsolete breathing apparatus with modern equipment that provides enhanced safety, reliability, and performance for our firefighters.

Thank you to ABC Fire for coming out and providing hands-on training to our members on the operation and use of our new MSA G1 SCBAs. This training ensures our firefighters are confident and prepared to safely use this new equipment when responding to emergencies

NTFD was pleased to take part in the Treherne Fair’s Touch a Truck event today!

Firefighters had the opportunity to meet with community members, answer questions, and promote fire safety. We were also able to provide free smoke detectors to help keep local homes and families safe.

The Pembina Valley Mutual Aid Public Education Trailer was set up to educate the public on what to do in the event of a house fire. Using the smoke machine, we simulated a smoke filled home, allowing participants to practice safe escape procedures and learn the importance of having a home fire escape plan.

The kids also had a chance to try out our grass fire unit and put their firefighting skills to the test by spraying water at targets. Future Firefighters in the making!

Incident Report– June 16, 2026 1:52 pm

NTFD responded to a lawn tractor fire within the Municipality of Norfolk Treherne. Crews quickly deployed a hose line and extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading into the long grass and bush.
