Good morning everyone

With our 2026/2027 season starting on September 3rd, it seems fitting to take a look back at we accomplished in our 2025/2026 season.

We had plenty going on with the resurection of Sal's Saloon to celebrate our 60th anniversary as a club (technically 61 but who's counting). We also kept the garbage moving and saw one of our members receive a major award for their 29 years of service with the club. It was a great year with a lot of sweat and elbow grease put out by our members

There was lots of funds raised and donated back into the local communities. In total we donated just shy of $30000 back into the community (like JUST shy) with pictures from a few of the donations attached.

We are truly grateful for the support we receive from the communities and take great pride in serving our greatest needs.

Now if you or anyone you know might be interested in joining our club please reach out. We are always on the look out for new members and we welcome those interested

OR if you are looking for a way to help out in the community but life doesn't allow you to join up as a member, we are always looking for hands to help with garbage on Saturday mornings. If you are interested and can toss a few bags of garbage or can drive (must be very comfortable with a trailer) please reach out. With our current numbers our members are picking garbage every 4 or 5 weeks and as the old saying goes "many hands make light work". It is usually 2 or 3 hours on a Saturday morning and you will be paired up with a member who knows the route. This is a major fundraiser for us and allows us to make the donations to the communities that we do. We would hate to loose it so we are welcome to those that can help

In closing, thank you again for our continued support and we look forward to continuing to serve the communities greatest needs.

Thank you

Ok folks we have a problem we need to talk about

We understand that with school being out and summer in full swing that people are heading off on vacation. We get it but if you plan on leaving your garbage out you gotta put it in a bin or something. This picture was taken this morning during pick up and as you can tell the birds have gotten into it making a mess.

We can't stress this enough, put your bags in a bin or cover them with something. We have a crow and cat problem in this town and if you put it out Friday night, it will be ripped open by the morning.

We appreciate those of you that already do this for us but for those who don't please be aware that it will be at the VOLUNTEER pickers discretion on if your bag gets picked up.

Thank you for your help with this issue

Good afternoon folks

Just a reminder for anyone who uses our garbage pick up service that we will not be taking yard waste to the transfer station. If it is put out on Saturday morning it will be left behind as picking up everyone's yard waste would almost double the amount we have to haul out and adds a bunch of labour into sorting at the transfer station. Our volunteers already spend their time every Saturday morning to do this.

Second thing. Please DO NOT use our trailer as a dumpster. Having garbage sit in it for a week attracts wildlife which open it up and spread it out which isn't fair to the coop who graciously allows us to park the trailer there

Last thing, please utilize our recycling program. We ask that each residence only put out two bags a week. We find many bags every week that feel and sound like recycling. This causes a bigger issue for the staff at the transfer station as they are told to separate recycling when possible adding lots of extra labour.

Thank you for your help with these issues
