I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of my friend Nello Altomare, a dedicated leader who served Transcona with integrity and compassion. Though we stood on opposing sides in the political arena, I admired his commitment to community and his genuine desire to make a difference.
Nello’s passion for education, justice, and service was evident in all he did, and his legacy will live on in the lives he touched. Transcona has lost a true champion, and he will be greatly missed.
My heartfelt condolences go to his family, friends, and all who mourn this great loss in Transcona, and throughout Manitoba and beyond. May his memory continue to inspire us all.
