Fresh air. Routine. Purpose. Connection.

For many individuals at McKim Cottage, the garden isn’t just a garden—it’s part of recovery. Planting, watering, and caring for something living can support confidence, mindfulness, and healing.

“The garden taught me that growth isn’t loud, and neither is rebuilding a life.”
— Melissa, Peer Support Worker & former service user.

Help us rebuild this special space.

🌟 Thank you, TB Vets! 🌟

Thanks to a generous $50,000 donation from TB Vets Charitable Foundation, Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital has a new HAMILTON-C6 Ventilator for the Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department.

This advanced technology provides precise respiratory support for patients facing severe lung conditions, including Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) and other complex respiratory illnesses. Expected to support 20–30 critically ill patients each year, this equipment will play an important role in improving patient outcomes and enhancing critical care closer to home.

Pictured with the new equipment are Greg, Respiratory Department Professional Practice Leader; Jordan and Emily, Respiratory Therapists; and Lisa Pasin, KBRH Health Foundation Executive Director (right to left).

💙 Thank you, TB Vets, for your continued commitment to advancing respiratory care and making a lasting difference for patients and families across our region.

Taylor, RN, is pictured here with this vital piece of equipment — making it easier for the NICU staff to provide safe, effective care for families in the NICU.

Your generosity is making a significant impact on patient care at KBRH—thank you!

A handmade quilt can do more than provide warmth, it can bring comfort, reassurance, and a reminder that a community cares. 💚

This , we’re recognizing Creston Quilts 4 Kids for their ongoing generosity to KBRH’s Pediatric and Maternity departments. Nurses Rylee and Charlotte are pictured with the latest donation of 10 beautifully handcrafted quilts, each one lovingly created to bring comfort to pediatric patients during their hospital stay and support them as they continue healing at home.

Thank you, Creston Quilts 4 Kids, for helping wrap our youngest patients in kindness.
