Days 2 and 3 of the NAJC Eastern regional gathering were packed with information, networking, sharing, and eating together. We hope there will be more regional gatherings.

An intergenerational JC wellness day hosted by and co-funded by the BC Legacy fund, was a great success. Momiji was a great location for Momiji residents to participate. Mitch Miyagawa, filmmaker and artist, showed his film, A Sorry State, and participants reflected on their own stories in word and art (the ances"tree" image drawn by Myriam Verzag). And ate good food by Momiji's Maru Sun, , Sasaki Fine Pastry, and Uncle Tetsu.

Toronto NAJC was at the Hiroshima and Nagasaki Day commemoration at Toronto’s Nathan Phillips Square. Remembering that 79 years ago the U.S. dropped devastating atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. We pledge: “Today, with people around the world, we commit ourselves to urge states, parliamentarians, and civil society in efforts to stigmatize, prohibit, and eliminate nuclear weapons, for the sake of humanity, and to prevent unthinkable horror before it is too late.”
