The Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) was honored to participate in the India Independence Day celebrations hosted by the Consulate General of India in Toronto.

Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce yesterday hosted a business delegation from the Punjab Chamber of Commerce & Industries (PCCI) for an interactive forum focused on strengthening commercial ties between Ontario and Punjab.

The event brought together over 60 members, industry leaders, and guests to explore how Canadian SMEs can connect with emerging market opportunities in India.

Key highlights from the session included:

Opening Remarks: ICCC President Prashant Srivastava welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the deep historical and economic ties connecting Ontario and Punjab, as well as the essential role Canadian businesses play in bilateral trade.

Government Perspectives: Hon. Nina Tangri, Ontario’s Associate Minister of Small Business, shared insights on expanding collaboration, with a focus on bringing advanced technology and innovation to Punjab’s agricultural sector.

Business & Delegation Briefs: Opinder Singh of PCCI, introduced the visiting delegates and outlined strategic avenues for Canadian companies looking to enter or expand in the region.
