Ending off the first month of the year, we're grateful.

Grateful for supporters who invest in youth futures. For facilitators who create safe spaces. For volunteers who show up consistently. For youth who do the vulnerable work of building lives by design.

Thank you for being part of this community.

Wishing you safety, connection, and warm moments that matter.

The kind of space where youth can pause, reflect, and ask themselves the hard questions.

Our Wheel of Life Workshop brings youth together for structured reflection across eight life areas—career, finances, relationships, health, personal growth, recreation, environment, contribution—not as separate problems, but as a connected system.

The questions we explore:
Am I building a life that actually fulfills me, or just one that looks good?
Where am I living by default instead of making intentional choices?
What patterns keep showing up?

What participants told us:
"Taking the time to reflect on my year and what I want for my future"
"I learned to care for myself and believe in myself"
"I'm not a failure—just taking it day by day"
"I got to be in such a safe space"

"Behind every program: people who show up.

Last Saturday's Wheel of Life Workshop happened because of:

→ Facilitators who create psychologically safe spaces
→ Volunteers who handle the details that matter
→ Donors who fund the time, space, and materials
→ Youth who showed up ready to do the work

This is what community looks like. People investing in people. Small teams making big impacts.

None of this happens without you—the supporters, donors, and champions who believe youth deserve quality programming and meaningful support.

As we head into the holidays, we're grateful for everyone who makes this work possible.

Thank you for investing in youth futures.

Last Saturday's Wheel of Life Workshop: the kind of deep work that only happens when people feel safe enough to be honest.

Youth explored eight life areas—career, finances, relationships, health, personal growth, recreation, environment, contribution—not as separate problems, but as a connected system.

The questions we asked:
Am I building a life that actually fulfills me, or just one that looks good?
Where am I living by default instead of making intentional choices?
What patterns keep showing up?

What participants told us:
"Taking the time to reflect on my year and what I want for my future"
"I learned to care for myself and believe in myself"
"I'm not a failure—just taking it day by day"
"I feel inspired to take the little steps towards making my goals a reality"
"I got to be in such a safe space"

Your donations fund the facilitators, the space, the materials, and the time it takes to create environments where this level of honesty and growth is possible.

Small groups. Deep conversations. Real tools. Lasting impact.

Thank you for being part of this work.

These youth aren’t a problem — they’re people who’ve been unheard for too long.

Our anonymous frontline worker sees what most don’t: the stigma, the racial profiling, the harm reduction gaps and the resilience youth show every day.

💙 $25/month helps youth get mental health tools, grounding techniques, and someone who actually listens.

She was showing up for everyone but herself.
Burnout didn’t break her down.

It broke her open.

💙 $50/month provides trauma-informed coaching and safe spaces for frontline youth to recover before they hit their limit.

“Nobody teaches you how to heal from what you’ve normalized.”

For them, “normal” meant watching patients — same skin, same story — treated with suspicion.

Stigmatized. Misread. Ignored.

When bias shapes care, silence becomes survival. But healing starts when someone finally listens without judgment.

💙 $150/month provides trauma-informed mental health resources and safe spaces where frontline youth can process what they’ve lived — without stigma, and with support.

“I didn’t feel safe anywhere — not even at home.”

They wore a uniform and a smile. But underneath was trauma that never had a name, because they never had the resources to process it.

For too many youth and young frontline workers, silence isn’t a choice — it’s what happens when help is out of reach.

At The Toronto Local Charity, we make sure no one has to face their story alone.

💙 $25/month helps provide trauma-informed resources — grounding techniques, mental health tools, and someone who listens.

“Would you still chase your dream after living in a shelter?”

Alisha called a family shelter home.

She turned 21 there studying under a single light, dreaming of something better.

And somehow, she didn’t stop.
She didn’t give up.
She gave herself a chance.
Because belonging isn’t about where you live.
It’s about who believes in you.

Tell us below:
Would you keep chasing your dream, and what are you dreaming about?

$25/month helps youth find belonging, rebuild confidence, and dream again.
