Mission - The Club’s mission is to provide youth in the Mimico area with an affordable opportunity to learn, understand, and develop the knowledge and skills associated with the game of basketball in a friendly, respectful, and supportive environment. Furthermore, the Club’s mission is to transform the lives of youth by teaching life skills through basketball that can also be applied in the real w
orld. Objectives - The objectives of the club shall be to:
-Provide and promote opportunities for youth to learn and play structured and organized basketball.
-Develop fundamental skills, athleticism, strategy and teamwork associated with the game of basketball for both boys and girls of various ages.
-Provide a safe and positive environment that encourages youth to participate in amateur sports and help develop a “love of the game” of basketball.
-Encourage friendly competition and a commitment to excellence.
-Advocate the benefits of physical activity and sports in youth.
-To improve the caliber of amateur and recreational basketball by investing in players, coaches, and the management of the Club.
-Help develop character and personal growth amongst youth so that they may turn into contributing members of this and other communities.
-Develop and foster the life skills needed for youth to lead successful lives both on and off the basketball court such as: leadership, conflict resolution, commitment, creative thinking, decision-making, sportsmanship, hard work, handling pressure, time management, and accountability.
-Promote camaraderie and goodwill through member social events.
