Thank you to everyone who joined us for FACL Ontario’s “Partnership Demystified” event this week!

The evening marked our first-ever career panel for mid-level calls and up that focused on advice for those in pursuit of partnership. Panelists Selena Kim, Brian Chung, Iris Tam and Roland Hung shared their personal journeys to partnership, their thoughts on building a professional brand, and practical tips for navigating key milestones in the legal profession.

We are grateful to our outstanding panelists for their mentorship and generosity, and to our moderator, Annecy Pang, for leading the candid and insightful discussion.

We are proud to partner on this event with our sponsor, Gowling WLG, on opportunities that foster mentorship and connections within the Asian Canadian legal profession. Special thanks to James Buchan, the former Firm Managing Partner (External) of Gowling WLG, for his gracious opening remarks, and to Shereen Samuels, Stephanie Black, Kathleen Wells and Erika Guerreiro for their behind-the-scenes event planning.

A big shout-out also goes to Jessica Chan and Jenny Kwok, Co-Chairs of the FACL Ontario Mentorship Committee, whose tireless leadership turned an idea from vision into reality.
