HAPPENING NOW: MarineLand’s last 6 beluga whales are currently being removed from their tanks to be relocated. This marks the end of MarineLand’s 65 year history of animal abuses. No more whales, dolphins, sealions, seals or walruses will ever suffer there again. As promised.

HAPPENING NOW: MarineLand Canada’s 4 bottlenose dolphins and 2 beluga whales are being removed and relocated from their tanks to better homes. This marks the first time in 62 years that MarineLand doesn’t have captive dolphins and the last Canada will ever have. History = made.

UPDATE: More of MarineLand’s whales will be removed and relocated to better homes this afternoon. Right on schedule and as promised. It’s been a long dream of mine to force the removal of those whales. Blessed to keep that promise in the face of those who tried to stop me - Phil Demers.

Official: MarineLand’s bears have been removed from their old, decrepit pit and are now en route to their new home at the Colorado Wild Animal Sanctuary. Much respect to the dedicated animal welfare orgs and activists that made this happen. And they said it never would… REJOICE!

BREAKING: MarineLand Canada has been granted permits to relocate their beluga whales to US facilities. Please read the statement below.

Representatives from the Georgia Aquarium and Mystic Aquarium have been onsite and observing MarineLand Canada’s beluga whales for some days now. Staff have been busy cleaning tanks. More details to come.

BREAKING: 2 beluga whales at MarineLand have reportedly stopped eating and are receiving emergency medical treatment. More than 25 whales and dolphins have died at MarineLand since 2019. We will provide updates.
