Hi all,

We are sorry to announce that the 2023 Hands of Fire Lunch Fundraiser and classes for the remainder of the 2023 year are cancelled due to numerous medical emergencies occurring on our Team.

We are a family here at Hands of Fire and we hope you, our family, have a wonderful holiday. Stay safe and take care of yourselves. Bundle up, wash your hands, and overall stay healthy and happy!

We are planning to reconvene as a team and talk about how we can improve our weekly Hands of Fire meetings for our entire family (our Volunteers, Volunteer Instructors, Executive Members, and our loyal & talented Members) after the New Year/holidays.

The Canadian Council of the Blind Toronto Visionaries Chapter Walk-A-Thon is back! ✨

If you're not familiar with this event, this 5K “Walk-what-you-can” Walk-A-Thon is to raise funds to support programs and activities that help members stay active and engaged. We're looking for sponsorships and donations. Pledge forms have been sent through email. If you're interested in helping us collect donations and have not received the email, please feel free to comment or message us to get those pledge forms forwarded to you! (Tax receipts can be issued, upon request, for any amount of $20 or more.)

And as for the actual Walk-A-Thon, we want to see you there! This year's Walk-A-Thon is Saturday, June 24, 2023. The walk will begin at 11 am at the Woodbine Beach Picnic Area #1 (message us for further directions!) Bring your walking shoes and lively spirits for a fun time outside 🚶👟😄!

Hands of Fire is moving! We're excited to announce our new home will be at Beaches Sandbox, a 13,000 square foot inclusive and accessible community space/hub located in the Beaches community.

We're inviting community members, old and new sculpting members, and family and friends to join us on Saturday, May 6th from 1-4PM to drop by Beaches Sandbox to learn more about the space, the area, and Hands of Fire!

We'll have light refreshments and sculptures available for our all who attend. An email has been sent out to those on our email list, so please email [email protected] if you'd like to attend. RSVPs are due by Thursday, May 4th, 2023.

Please feel free to share the big news with friends, family, and lovely pets! We're so excited to see you all there.
