Rain or shine In the Anishinaabe language Giwaabamin means "I see you".

In 2013 a small group of Indigenous people started doing grassroots street outreach in downtown Toronto. Giwaabamin Street Patrol continues to do this important work, bringing food and supplies directly to the homeless community. The project grew in November 2015 to include a weekly lunch and clothing giveaway at Allan Gardens. Each week our group serves 100-200 members of the homeless/low-incom

e community. We bring meals and toiletries to local shelters and drop in centers. We help newly housed individuals find the resources they need. We collaborate with allies, local businesses and community members. We are self-funded and not attached to any organization. Your donations keep this initiative going. We are grassroots. All donations we receive go directly to the community.
