About us:
Grain of Sand International Foundation

We are an international organisation providing support to vulnerable people in several countries across the world. Our projects make a difference in the lives of people who are in distress and marginalised by society. We began in 2009 in Tuxtla Gutierrez, a City within the state of Chiapas, located in the South of Mexico. We are a non-profit organi

sation registered with the Federal Register of Civil Society Organisations. We work within the Federal Law on Fostering. We are dedicated to providing free support to vulnerable people in the community including street children, children of orphanages, children suffering with illness or disability, homeless older people and older people living in nursing homes. Our team consists of a large number of committed volunteers along with health professionals, psychotherapists, social workers and teachers who specialise in work with vulnerable children and adults. In Tuxtla we have a centre for children and young people who have been sexually abused. It is a safe place where the abused children receive holistic care in relation to their individual needs. The Foundation has grown from its roots in Tuxtla Gutierrez to other parts of Chiapas as well as the State of Puebla which is located in tthe East-Central of Mexico. In addition, we operate projects in Nicaragua, Central America, Venezuela, South America and Canada. The work carried out by our organisation, has been recognised and applauded internationally.
