The Oral History Project is to preserve personal stories of first generation of Iranian-Canadian community pioneers/members and bring to life their memories and struggles and recognizes them as makers of history. The collection of oral histories and archival materials will also enable scholars, students and the public to learn about the Iranian- Canadian community and its role in the social, cultu

ral, economic, and political make-up of Toronto and Canada. The project is funded by The Ontario Trillium Foundation (an agency of the Government of Ontario) to fill the current absence of documented Iranian Canadian oral history in the existing body of oral history projects in Toronto and Ontario
