Representatives from the Canadian-Albanian Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Agim Tutulani, Mr.R. Dakli, and Mr. Artur Derraj together with other members of the community and Her Excellency Mrs. Artemis Kosta Malo, Ambassador of Albania to Canada took part in a constructive meeting with Mr. Vince Gasparro, Member of Parliament, to exchange views on current economic conditions and emerging priorities affecting businesses and communities.

From the Chamber's perspective, the discussion focused in particular on challenges facing key industries, the evolving economic landscape, and pressures within the housing market, issues that continue to shape investment decisions, workforce stability, and long-term growth across Canada.

Members of the Chamber emphasized the importance of sustained dialogue between policymakers and the business community to support competitiveness, strengthen industry capacity, and advance practical solutions to housing affordability and supply.

Diskutimi u përqendrua në gjendjen aktuale ekonomike dhe prioritetet në zhvillim që ndikojnë bizneset dhe komunitetet në mbarë Kanadanë. Nga përfsqësuesit e Dhomës, vëmendje e veçantë iu kushtua sfidave me të cilat përballen sektorët kryesorë të industrisë, zhvillimeve në mjedisin ekonomik dhe presioneve të vazhdueshme në tregun e banesave, çështje këto që ndikojnë drejtpërdrejt vendimmarrjen për investime, stabilitetin e fuqisë punëtore dhe rritjen ekonomike afatgjatë.

Përfaqësuesit e Dhomës theksuan rëndësinë e një dialogu të vazhdueshëm ndërmjet politikëbërësve dhe komunitetit të biznesit për të forcuar konkurrueshmërinë, për të mbështetur kapacitetet industriale dhe për të avancuar zgjidhje praktike për përballueshmërinë dhe rritjen e ofertës në tregun e banesave.

On March 20, 2026, representatives of the Canadian-Albanian Chamber of Commerce — A***n Sultafa, Agim Tutulani, and Igli Selamaj — held a luncheon meeting with Bardish Chagger, Member of Parliament for Waterloo.

During the meeting, Ms. Chagger presented a congratulatory letter on behalf of the Right Honourable Mark Carney, Prime Minister of Canada, recognizing the Chamber’s important work in strengthening the relationship between Canada and Albania.

The Chamber’s representatives were honoured to receive the letter personally from Ms. Chagger, a four-time Member of Parliament for Waterloo and former Leader of the Government in the House of Commons, as well as former Minister of Small Business and Tourism.

In his letter addressed to the Chamber, Prime Minister Carney acknowledged the Canadian-Albanian Chamber of Commerce for its growing role in reinforcing cooperation and building a strong foundation for partnership between the two countries.

It was also noted during the meeting that the Government of Canada increasingly recognizes the Canadian-Albanian Chamber of Commerce as a trusted partner and a key institutional point of contact for advancing trade and economic engagement between Canada and Albania.

Më 20 mars 2026, përfaqësues të Dhomës së Tregtisë Kanada-Shqipëri, z. A***n Sultafa, z. Agim Tutulani dhe z. Igli Selamaj, zhvilluan një drekë pune me znj. Bardish Chagger, Deputete e Parlamentit të Kanadasë për Waterloo.

Gjatë takimit, znj. Chagger dorëzoi një letër urimi në emër të z. Mark Carney, Kryeministrit të Kanadasë, duke vlerësuar punën e rëndësishme të Dhomës në forcimin e marrëdhënieve ndërmjet Kanadasë dhe Shqipërisë.

Përfaqësuesit e Dhomës patën nderin ta pranonin këtë letër personalisht nga znj. Chagger, Deputete prej katër mandatesh zonën e Waterloo, ish-kryetare e Grupit Parlamentar Liberal në Parlament dhe ish-Ministre e Bizneseve të Vogla dhe Turizmit.

Në letrën e tij drejtuar Dhomës, Kryeministri Carney vlerësoi rolin në rritje të Dhomës së Tregtisë Kanada-Shqipëri në forcimin e bashkëpunimit dhe në ndërtimin e një themeli të qëndrueshëm partneriteti ndërmjet dy vendeve.

Gjatë takimit u theksua gjithashtu se Qeveria Kanadeze e konsideron gjithnjë e më shumë Dhomën e Tregtisë Kanada-Shqipëri si një partner të besueshëm dhe një pikë institucionale referimi për avancimin e bashkëpunimit tregtar dhe ekonomik ndërmjet Kanadasë dhe Shqipërisë.

🇨🇦🇽🇰 Canadian Albanian Chamber of Commerce engages with Delegation from the Government of Kosovo

Members of the Board of the Canadian-Albanian Chamber of Commerce participated in a meeting held at the Consulate of the Republic of Kosovo in Toronto with Cabinet Members and other officials of the Government of Kosovo during their visit to Canada.

The meeting brought together representatives of the Albanian business community in Canada, along with businesses connected to Kosovo, Albania, and North Macedonia. Discussions focused on investment opportunities in Kosovo and the important role of the diaspora in strengthening economic cooperation and business partnerships.

The Canadian Albanian Chamber of Commerce remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote networking, investment, and stronger economic ties between Canada and the Albanian region.

Anëtarë të Bordit të Dhomës së Tregtisë Kanada-Shqipëri morën pjesë në një takim të zhvilluar në Konsullatën e Republikës së Kosovës në Toronto me anëtarë të kabinetit dhe zyrtarë të tjerë të Qeverisë së Kosovës gjatë vizitës së tyre në Kanada.

Takimi mblodhi përfaqësues të komunitetit të biznesit shqiptar në Kanada, si dhe biznese të lidhura me Kosovën, Shqipërinë dhe Maqedoninë e Veriut. 🇨🇦🇦🇱 Canadian-Albanian Chamber of Commerce Strengthens Institutional Relations

In continuation of its mission to strengthen economic, trade, and professional relations between Canada and Albania, the Canadian-Albanian Chamber of Commerce has taken important steps to consolidate and expand its institutional presence.

The Chamber recently held a virtual meeting with Mr. Yves Belliveau, First Secretary of the Embassy of Canada in Rome and Trade Commissioner covering Albania. Representing the Chamber were Mr. A***n Sultafa, President of the Chamber, and Mr. Agim Tutulani, Board Member.

The discussion focused on identifying concrete opportunities to enhance economic, trade, and investment cooperation between the two countries. The parties also coordinated the development of regular bilateral meetings and mutual participation in future activities and initiatives.

The Chamber continues to expand its institutional partnerships with peer organizations, government institutions, and key business stakeholders, building a strong network in support of the Albanian-Canadian business community.

Minister Natalia Kusendova-Bashta, MPP for Mississauga Centre and Ontario’s Minister of Long-Term Care, recently visited the facilities of Albesol Inc., a Mississauga-based manufacturer and engineering firm that produces essential electrical equipment powering airports, hospitals, and other critical infrastructure.

During the visit, the Minister met with Artan Pulti, owner of Albesol and a member of the Board of the Canadian Albanian Chamber of Commerce, along with Agim Tutulani, also a Board Member of the Chamber. The discussion highlighted Albesol’s advanced manufacturing capabilities, its role as an innovation hub, and its contribution to creating skilled local jobs.

The Canadian Albanian Chamber of Commerce welcomes the signing of the Air Transport Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Albania and the Government of Canada, concluded on December 12, 2025.

This agreement establishes the legal and institutional framework for the launch and operation of direct air services between Albania and Canada—an important milestone in strengthening bilateral relations between our two countries.

Beyond improved connectivity, this development is expected to facilitate the movement of people, support the Albanian diaspora in Canada, and encourage greater economic, tourism, academic, and cultural exchange.
