Announcement 📣 We are thrilled to welcome Aliah Schwartz to the adelheid team as Artistic Producer. Over the next month Aliah will be onboarded by Jasmine Au jasmine au who we had the great pleasure to work with for the past four years as GM. We thank Jasmine for all she contributed to adelheid’s trajectory and wish her the very best in this next chapter. ❤️ Welcome Aliah!

Aliah Schwartz (they/them) is an arts and community non-profit manager with a multi-disciplinary background in dance, visual art, and puppetry. Originally from a small town in Nova Scotia, they studied at Concordia University in Montréal where they graduated with a BFA double majoring in Contemporary Dance and Studio Arts. Aliah moved to Toronto in 2019.

🌟Announcing “openings: a photo book”, a beautiful hardcover book that celebrates the artistic collaboration between photographer Jeremy Mimnagh (adelheid’s artistic associate) and Heidi Strauss.

With all the intangibles and ephemera of dance, we decided to take what have always been digital images and concretize them in the form of an old-fashioned 100-page hardcover book. Through the process we reflected on what has been created and the cultural times that allowed for those works to be made. But mostly we found ourselves deeply grateful for all the incredible people we collaborated with throughout the development of adelheid’s choreographic works between 2008 and 2025 - all housed in these pages.

We look forward to what’s next! We are selling this book as a fundraiser to continue adelheid’s creative work, as well as build projects that support our local community.

What to say? 💛

The unfolding of k(not)now happened gradually with a week here and there of rehearsal in Ottawa between November and May. In the final performance on Saturday the dancers ( .ethier4 .kat) found a new place inside of it that was spacious, grounded, and patient. I am so grateful to them for their trust, and for going the distance together.
And couldn’t have done it without Rebecca Picherack, , .ca, and .428 . Thanks to for being part of the process, .cna for the support, and for the incredible invitation to work with the company. 💛🌟🎉

Good news! ☀️Our Summer Intensive registration is now open until June 15th. There is still time to sign up for the the full intensive or single stream creation labs and classes. Check out our creation labs with  and Heidi Strauss and classes lead by  (Flomentum) and  (Flying Low/ Passing Through). 🎉Bookings for single classes will open next week. Info below!
