South Riverdale Child-Parent Centre The South Riverdale Child Parent Centre (SRCPC) offers a free resource program for parents, caregivers and children to play, learn and grow.

The South Riverdale Child Parent Centre (SRCPC) runs a family resource program designed to meet the needs of individuals caring for young children ages 0-6. These include a daily drop-in program, outings, workshops, a clothing exchange, and a toy library. All of our programs are free.We are a non-profit organization governed by a board of volunteers from the local community.

A little clothing donation update

We are so incredibly thankful for everyone who lovingly goes through their children’s clothes and thinks of the Centre. Your generosity means so much to us and to the families we support.

At this time, we unfortunately don’t have the capacity to accept clothing donations, so we kindly ask that you hold onto your donations for now. We’ll be sure to let you know when we’re able to accept them again!

In the meantime, please come shop our Clothing Exchange! We have lots of clothing looking for a good home, including winter coats, suits, boots, and so much more.

Thank you, as always, for thinking of us and for helping us make sure clothing gets where it’s needed most. ❤️

Last weekend we celebrated the mid-autumn (or moon) festival with QS library and some amazing lion dancers!

We read a book by lion dancers at storytime, danced w the lion dancers, and followed them into the backyard where we fed our lion some lettuce for extra good luck! 🦁🥬

SRCPC will be closed on September 30th for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as we take time to reflect, learn, and honour the children and families impacted by residential schools.

We’ve shared resources in the link in our bio to support learning about residential schools, Truth and Reconciliation, and ways to have age appropriate conversations with children (through books).
