Although we have both moved on to Council roles, we enjoyed our time with the 69th (sponsored by St. This page is to share our new Scouting adventures as part of the Greater Toronto Council and World Scout Jamboree 2019 Teams, and to document the adventures we had with the 69th Toronto Scout Group . We look forward to sharing information on the roles and activities we engage in along with notes,
comments, observations ideas and opportunities that may interest Scouters around the world. As Volunteers with the 69th Toronto Scout Group, Rebecca and I enjoyed being a part of a growing Scout Group in mid-town Toronto for 12 years. We were both Volunteer Scouters with the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers and each acted as Group Commissioner for a few years representing the Group in Seton Area and Greater Toronto Council. During our time with the 69th, we participated in numerous Camps, Environmental Initiatives and Fundraisers. We were both Patrol Leaders for 1 of 2 Patrol Units that participated in The Canadian National Jamboree in Sylvan Lake, Alberta in 2013. Chris was selected to be a Patrol Leader for the 23rd World Jamboree in Japan and supported 5 Youth from the 69th Toronto Scout Group. We were joined by 4 Youth from other Groups in Ontario who made up a Jamboree Unit of 36 Youth and 4 Leaders. Our Unit was unique because it included 20 people from Canada and 20 people from Greece. That was an amazing adventure. Rebecca attended WJ2015 as part of the International Service Team and was involved in Social Media for the Canadian Contingent as well as the Home Hospitality program for the Canadian Participants in Tokyo. In the fall of 2016, Chris was selected GTC Deputy Council Commissioner - Membership Growth. In the spring of 2017 Rebecca was selected at GTC Deputy Council Commissioner for Marketing and Communications. Both Rebecca and Chris are actively involved in supporting the Canadian Contingent who will be heading to West Virginia for the 2019 World Scout Jamboree.
