During this virtual Watercolour workshop participants are following a step by step process to create watercolour paintings themed around the subject of spring.
We started by learning basic techniques and brush strokes followed by creating a finished painting in each session.
The fluidity and transparency of watercolor makes it the perfect medium to capture the beauty of spring whether it’s flowers, birds or landscapes. This beginner-friendly watercolour workshop is designed for anyone who wants to learn watercolour painting, build new skills, and explore watercolour techniques in the comfort of their own homes.

We are currently in week two of the Virtual Watercolour Painting Workshop, a collaborative initiative between the East Mississauga Community Health Center and United Way. The loose watercolour technique employed in the workshop fosters an environment where participants can explore imperfection, emphasizing the capture of a subject's atmosphere and emotional resonance, such as in depictions of flowers or landscapes, over precise detail. Participants are finding the process both enjoyable and enriching for their artistic skills.

After producing a substantial number of beautiful prints, we are incorporating them into unique pieces of art.
