The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 353 is a forward thinking, highly skilled, and dedicated electrical union. IBEW Local 353 represents over 11,000 members who work in a variety of electrical disciplines and who work across central Ontario, spanning from Toronto to Peterborough to Parry Sound. Established in 1903, IBEW Local 353 has since been successfully representin

g licensed electricians and registered apprentices in the construction industry. Today, the IBEW remains a hard working organization of top-notch electricians and like-minded professionals committed to benefiting towards the integrity of our industry. Registrations for this meeting close at 4:30pm on April 17th . The meeting will be hosted by DOTS ( same company that ran the SCM in March ) . Thank you to all who participated in today’s Special Called Meeting on Zoom . 1026 members registered with 806 members logging in and creating voting accounts on DOTS ( Dots Connect online voting service ) . All five ballot questions passed .

Vote 1 : Carried 76.37% ( In favour 514 , opposed 159 , abstain 12 ).

Vote 1a ( Communication Sector only ) : Carried 82.14% ( In favour 23 , opposed 5 , abstain 0 ) .
