Foundation for Montessori Education Foundation for Montessori Education is an AMI Montessori teacher training centre located in Toronto.

Our goal is to improve the lives of children by promoting education that meets their physical, intellectual and psychological needs as they grow. We train adults to become Montessori teachers and classroom assistants; as well as offer support and information to parents and caregivers. In addition, we offer professional development to those already working in Montessori environments and encourage discussions that lead to improvements in our work with children.

Storytelling is one of the most powerful tools we have to nurture a child's developing mind. Beyond the pages of a book, the act of sharing a story fosters deep concentration, expands vocabulary, and builds the empathy needed to understand the world around them.

In our Montessori community, we see how a well-told story can bring about profound connection and discovery.

Today, we encourage you to sit with a child and share a tale; whether it’s a story from your childhood, the paraphrasing of a book, or a journey through history.
